Consider the world is not linear in relation to your self. "Power" in respect to others can be anything which results in them acting in accordance with what you would like. That said, natural forces can be vastly more "powerful" than any of the technologies we have invented, mechanical or conceptual, when they come into conflict with people's agendas. One who spends all of their energy obsessing over others will be blind and dumb when confronted by reality.
Think big picture. Once you have personal control over your lives what do you do with it? We're in this mess because far too many people have used what little power they've found to pursue some of the stupidest goals imaginable. Even if you were to obtain more power than every other person alive put together, you'll still be like a newborn babe when facing the whole of the universe. If you seek to overcome other's control, you must actually have a plan for what to do after that.
I would consider then A) make sure all those buzzwords you just threw down actually represent an accurate assessment of the situation, and B) hammer out the specifics of how your own plan will be an improvement, else you'll just be easy prey for the next person in line who actually DID do their homework.

Would you know what you know now if you had not gone through that? The mental world has a topography, and if you want to get somewhere you've got to walk the path.
