While there will be (and is in process) a decoupling of sorts, I think Tucker is acting as a thought provocateur for people to think about what we need in allies.
He's got plenty of money, so "Qatari payroll" is not quite a thing.
He might hate / dislike Jews-Israel…or maybe not….
But repeatedly saying Qatar would be a good ally because it has assets (oil and gas) is ridiculous. We have a trillion+ tons of oil and gas…enough to last ≈300 years
