this was the woman who bill gates got caught with.

Mila Antonova, a Russian bridge player,is at the center of a reported extramarital affair with Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, which allegedly occurred around 2010 after they met at a bridge tournament.

The relationship reportedly came to light in 2023 when The Wall Street Journal reported that Jeffrey Epstein used knowledge of the affair to attempt to blackmail Gates in 2017, requesting reimbursement for Antonova’s coding school tuition, which Epstein had paid.

Epstein had met Antonova in 2013 while she was seeking funding for her venture, BridgePlanet.

Bill Gates and Mila Antonova first met in summer 2009 at the North American Bridge Championships in Washington DC, where Gates reportedly defeated Antonova in a match.

They later met again in March 2010 at the National Bridge Tournament in Reno, Nevada, where Antonova conducted an interview with Gates for her website BridgeUnion.com.

Antonova, who was in her mid-20s at the time, has stated in a 2010 YouTube video that she did not beat Gates but “tried to kick him with my leg,” a comment interpreted as playful or suggestive.

Epstein allegedly used the affair as leverage in 2017 to pressure Gates into supporting a multibillion-dollar charitable fund he was attempting to establish with JPMorgan, which Gates declined.

Epstein’s email requesting reimbursement for Antonova’s education was seen as a veiled threat.

Antonova, who studied in Russia and later worked as a software engineer in San Francisco, founded a bridge club in the US and was involved in developing BridgePlanet, an online platform to teach bridge.

Gates and his then-wife Melinda Gates divorced in May 2021 after 27 years of marriage, with some reports suggesting the fallout was influenced by scrutiny over Gates’ connections to Epstein.

Gates has denied any business or personal friendship with Epstein, stating their meetings were solely for philanthropic purposes.

As of December 19, 2025, no further developments have emerged regarding the affair or its legal or personal consequences, and Antonova has not publicly commented on the allegations.
