The Kyrene Elementary School District voted Tuesday to reduce the number of schools in its district to help with financial trouble and declining enrollment.
The Governing Board approved a plan to close six schools, calling it its “4-2″ plan. The elementary schools that will close starting in 2026-2027 are:
Kyrene de la Colina
Kyrene de la Estrella
Kyrene de las Manitas
The three schools closing in 2027-2028
