The Federation’s founder, Samuel Gompers, was one of the driving forces behind the generations-long crackdown, saying “those who favor unrestricted immigration care nothing for the people.” Amazing how the AFL-CIO now advocates for the replacement of American workers with an endless supply of cheaper foreign labor.
