Just a point of clarification on the Smith-Mundt Act proposed noteable. The original Act which was passed into law in 1948 had a prohibition against the Government's use of "domestic propaganda". Congress was concerned that this Act which gave birth to the "Voice of America" might use propaganda against the American People. Late 2012/2013, Hussein signed a midnight Amendment to the old Act which REMOVED the prohibition. It isn't any wonder why the entire "Fake News" phenomenon began in earnest around that time.
