The one who handed Him over committed the greater sin. No one took His life, HE GAVE IT.

>The Man of Lawlessness

Matthew 5:17-19

17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordinglywill be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

John 19:30

When he had received the drink, Jesus said,“It is finished.”With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.

Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one ofthe least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

>His book

You mean the incomplete book of scripture in which Jesus in it refrences scripture they left out of it?

Jesus warned about the scribes and pharisees, He told us to seek and the gate is narrow… when did He tell us they would assemble it all into one book for your reading convenience and it would be the large gate, ie largest religion in the world?

John 1

>1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

John 17:20-23

>20 “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, 21 that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. 22 I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one— 23 I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.

Matthew 25:34-45

>34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

>37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

>40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

>41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’

>44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’

>45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’

Love the Lord your God with all of your heart, all of your soul, and all of your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. The second is like it, love your neighbor as yourself. All the law and prophetsHANGon these two commands.

Does the scripture not make it clear? The Word is not written in a book, the Word is alive… in us.

The example I like to use… the book says they wanted to make a name for themselves, so they built a tower reaching unto heaven. The Word tells me it was not a building, but a hierarchy.

No I'm not, Jesus taught to love your neighbor, so he was asking who was being a good neighbor, loving. Jesus was telling you if YOU don't love your neighbor, you're not being a good neighbor. He didn't say only love your neighbor if they love you… remember, If you love only those who love you what credit is it to you? Whatever you do for the least of these, you do for Him. Even the least is a neighbor.

Why wouldn't you? If you see someone that hates you drowning you wouldn't save them when you could? AGAIN…If you love only those who love you, what credit is it to you?

>"If you are not with me, then you are against me."

Luke 9:50

But Jesus said to him, “Do not stop him, for the one who is not against you is for you.

Mark 9:40

I've read it.

Do you know what it means to look like a lamb but speak like a dragon? You ever notice God in the OT is described like a dragon, breathing fire?

Hate begets hate.

Love, like light, shines in hate.

My best friend of over 30 years started out hating me. He tried to fight me, I kicked his ass, but then befriended him. He later thanked me for turning him around.

I defended myself, was tough with him, but I loved him, and I did not hurt him like I could have.

Love conquers hate.

You don't have to be friends. You don't have to hate though, and you sure as hell don't have to harm (note I'm not talking about self defense).

Jesus also liked people who disagreed with Him.

>“It is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to the dogs.”

>“Yes it is, Lord,” she said. “Even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master’s table.”

>Then Jesus said to her, “Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted.” And her daughter was healed at that moment.

We live in a "bubble" of life. We're all neighbors. If you love only the neighbor that loves you, what credit is it to you?
