What weakens iron?

Lol
What is cheap steel?
What weakens steel?
What is steel exactly?
Steel is an alloy of Iron & Chromium.
Want to recycle the steel?
Try iron first.
Think oxide layer.
To begin, remove the oxide layer on the metal you wish to create the amalgam with.
Make a concave grove,
Shallow divot.
Agitated with abrasion.
Remove oxidation layer.
Add mercury to divot
Nothing happens..
Why?
Mercury does not amalgamate with iron.
Fascinating.
Mercury will however amalgamate with steel.
>see where this is going?
Where does Chromium come from?
>round here we call it greenstone….
>Harvesting Chromium.
So if my deductions are correct,
Is it the residual mercury amalgamating with the chromium within the steel that created the "steel" in question?
