Zelenskyy: Russia Fabricated Drone Plot to Justify Attacks on State Targets

Updated Dec 29, 2025 19:48

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said a US-backed 20-point peace framework is 90% complete after talks with US President Donald Trump, as Russia accused Ukraine of trying to strike the Russian leader, Vladimir Putin’s state residence, overnight, according to Reuters on December 29.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated that Ukraine had attacked Putin’s state residence in Russia’s Novgorod region with 91 long-range drones on December 28-29, and that all were destroyed by Russian air defenses.

“Such reckless actions will not go unanswered,” Lavrov said, calling it “state terrorism” and adding that targets had already been selected for retaliatory strikes, while saying Moscow would review its negotiating position but would not leave talks.

Speaking to journalists on the same day, Zelenskyy rejected Lavrov’s accusation as false and said Russia was using the claim to justify new strikes on Ukraine’s capital and other state facilities.

“The lies of the Russian Federation are clear,” Zelenskyy said, adding that Russia was “preparing the ground” to launch attacks “most likely against the capital and against state facilities.”

Zelenskyy also added that Moscow viewed any progress between Kyiv and Washington as a setback and would try to provoke a rupture in relations, adding that he had expected “some rhetoric” from Russia after his meeting with Trump.

The President urged Ukrainians to remain vigilant and said Trump, his team, and European partners should intensify engagement with Moscow, describing Lavrov’s remarks as threats about selecting targets.

Earlier, it was reported that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed hope that he and US President Donald Trump could agree on a peace framework and said he is prepared to put the plan to a nationwide referendum if a ceasefire of at least 60 days is secured.

IDF Dumps Haaretz: Government Ban Hits Spokesman Subscription

DEC 29, 2025 09:50

The IDF Spokesperson's Unit has canceled its subscription to Haaretz, implementing a November 2024 government decision that bars all state bodies from engaging with the newspaper due to its relentless anti-Israel bias and promotion of Hamas terrorist narratives.

It's no wonder: Haaretz's one-sided "reporting," anything but factual journalism, should be kept far from the IDF and Israeli government.

The outlet has openly spread vicious anti-Israel lies about "genocide" and made horrific, disgusting accusations against IDF soldiers fighting Hamas terrorists who slaughtered 1,200 Israelis on October 7, 2023, and kidnapped 251 others.

No legitimate news source should spew such nasty Hamas-filled propaganda while Israel defends its citizens from rocket barrages and tunnel ambushes.

Reporter Doron Kadosh revealed the move on Galei Tzahal, noting it's not isolated: accounts of additional senior IDF officials were recently disconnected from the newspaper.

The government resolution declares it "will not accept a situation in which the publisher of an official newspaper in the State of Israel calls for sanctions against it and supports the state's enemies in the midst of a war, at a time when international bodies challenge the legitimacy of the State of Israel, its right to self-defense, and effectively impose sanctions against it and its leaders."

It accuses Haaretz of publishing editorials during the war "that challenged the State of Israel's legitimacy in the world and its right to self-defense."

The decision highlights publisher Amos Schocken's statements at a Haaretz conference in London, where he reportedly called Palestinian terrorists "freedom fighters" and demanded sanctions on Prime Minister Netanyahu and Ministers Smotrich and Ben-Gvir, claiming Netanyahu's government imposes a "cruel apartheid regime" on Palestinians.

The government responded: "Therefore, the government hereby declares its intention to sever all advertising relations with the newspaper Haaretz and calls on all its branches, ministries, and bodies, as well as any government corporation or body funded by it, not to engage with Haaretz in any way and not to publish any material in it."

This boycott reflects growing frustration with Haaretz's pattern of amplifying terrorist talking points, from downplaying Hamas atrocities to echoing blood libels that fuel global antisemitism, up 400% since October 7.

While Israel buries 700 fallen soldiers and returns hostages like Hadar Goldin after 11 years in terrorist captivity, outlets like Haaretz undermine national unity with falsehoods that embolden enemies.

The IDF's action sends a clear message: state institutions won't fund or legitimize propaganda that betrays the soldiers protecting the nation.

Houthi leader threatens to ‘target’ any Israeli presence in Somaliland

December 29, 2025 12:10 am

The leader of Yemen’s Houthi rebels warned that any Israeli presence in Somaliland would be considered a “military target,” according to a statement from the Iran-backed group published Sunday.

“We consider any Israeli presence in Somaliland a military target for our armed forces, as it constitutes aggression against Somalia and Yemen, and a threat to the security of the region,” said the group’s chief Abdulmalik al-Houthi, according to a statement published by rebel media online.

Israel on Friday announced that it was officially recognizing Somaliland, a first for the self-proclaimed republic that in 1991 declared it had unilaterally separated from Somalia.

The Houthi chief warned that the move carried grave consequences, saying recognition was “a hostile stance targeting Somalia and its African surroundings, as well as Yemen, the Red Sea, and the countries along both shores of the Red Sea.”

Somaliland, which has for decades pushed for international recognition, enjoys a strategic position on the Gulf of Aden and has its own money, passport and army.

Regional analysts believe that a rapprochement with Somaliland would provide Israel with better access to the Red Sea, enabling it to hit Houthi rebels in Yemen.

The Houthis began attacking Israel and maritime traffic in November 2023, a month after the October 7, 2023, Hamas massacre, firing more than 130 ballistic missiles and dozens of drones and cruise missiles at Israel, including one that killed a civilian and wounded several others in Tel Aviv in July 2024, prompting Israel’s first strike in Yemen.

Israel in response repeatedly attacked the Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen, located some 1,800 kilometers (1,100 miles) away.

Since the October 2025 ceasefire in Gaza, the Houthis have halted their attacks on Israel and the IDF has not struck the rebel group.

Somaliland has been diplomatically isolated since its unilateral declaration of independence, even if it has generally experienced greater stability than Somalia, where Al-Shabaab Islamic militants periodically mount attacks in the capital Mogadishu.

Israel’s recognition of Somaliland was criticized by the African Union, Egypt, Turkey, the six-nation Gulf Cooperation Council and the Saudi-based Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

The European Union and the US State Department also insisted that Somalia’s sovereignty should be respected. The UN Security Council is slated to hold an emergency session on Monday to discuss the Israeli recognition.

Suspected RSF Drone Strike Kills Two Chadian Soldiers at Sudan border

Decenber 29, 2025

Two Chadian soldiers were killed Friday in a suspected Rapid Support Forces (RSF) drone strike on a military camp in Tiné, along the Sudanese border, amid ongoing fighting between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the RSF.

According to Agence France-Presse, Chadian military leaders accused the RSF of carrying out the attack. However, while the Chadian army condemned the strike in a statement, it did not explicitly hold the Sudanese paramilitary responsible for the drone attack.

The Chadian Chief of Staff said the attack constitutes a deliberate violation of international law and called on all parties in the Sudanese conflict to respect Chad’s sovereignty.

The Sudanese Armed Forces condemned the RSF drone attack on the Tiné garrison and extended condolences to the victims’ families. They said Tiné remains fully under SAF control and called for joint border coordination.

On Wednesday, RSF reported that it had taken control of the towns of Abu Qomra and Umm Brou in northern Sudan’s Darfur region, both situated on the road to the border town of Al Tina.

Since April 2023, fighting between Sudan’s army and the RSF has killed tens of thousands and displaced nearly 12 million people.

Thai army accuses Cambodia of 'provocative' drone deployment over border

Updated on December 30, 2025 00:31 JST

The Royal Thai Army on Monday accused Cambodia of "provocative action" by sending more than 250 drones across the border, putting at risk a temporary ceasefire the countries had struck two days earlier to end three weeks of cross-border fighting.

The Thai announcement came hours after the Thai, Cambodian and Chinese foreign ministers ended two days of talks in Yunnan, China, with an optimistic statement that included promises to respect the ceasefire and confidence-building measures such as the release of 18 Cambodian soldiers who have been held captive in Thailand since July.

"It was seen as a provocative action as the drones are invading Thai territorial skies," Thailand's Maj. Gen. Winthai Suravee told reporters at a press conference, adding that the drones were detected on Sunday night.

"We need to consider some measures to respond… We are also re-considering whether to release the 18 Cambodian soldiers."

Cambodian Defense Ministry spokesperson Lieut. Gen. Maly Socheata said in a statement that the ministry "categorically rejects… and completely refutes these accusations."

The government and army "reaffirm their firm, sincere, and honest commitment to fully and steadfastly respect" the previous ceasefire agreements reached with Thailand, she added.

Cambodia and Thailand agreed on Saturday to stop all clashes and withhold from moving troops for 72 hours in a temporary ceasefire period set to end at noon on Tuesday, with the countries planning to implement other measures, such as de-mining and border demarcation, together if that first step was reached.

That agreement ended three weeks of fighting triggered by Thai claims that Cambodia was laying new landmines along the disputed border. Dozens of people were killed in the clashes and hundreds of thousand were forced to flee their homes.

After their talks in China, Thai Foreign Minister Sihasak Phuangketkeow and his Cambodian counterpart, Prak Sokhonn, said in separate public statements that they were preparing for the release of the 18 Cambodian soldiers in exchange for allowing citizens to return over land borders, after meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.

"This means that no one wants war again," Sokhonn said on Cambodian state television. China described the talks as "constructive" according to its state news agency Xinhua.

Thailand had released two of 20 Cambodian soldiers captured during five days of clashes in July, but its refusal to release the others has been seen by Cambodia as a sustained act of aggression, with the defense ministry posting a daily tally of their detention.

Thailand was similarly enraged by Cambodia's decision on Dec. 13 to prevent all Thai and Cambodian citizens from returning to their respective countries via land borders – the one exception to the border closures that had been in place since June.

China also promised to provide "all necessary support" to repairing relationships between Thailand and Cambodia, offering 20 million yuan ($2.85 million) in aid for internally displaced persons to each country during the dialogue.

Supplies landed in Cambodia on Sunday, while Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul acknowledged the offer but did not say whether he would accept the aid.

Beijing also pledged to provide support, including ceasefire supervision, humanitarian aid and cooperation on mine clearance.

Early on Monday morning, Cambodia's border committee publicly invited Thailand to discuss border demarcation in Siem Reap province in the first week of January.

In its request, the Cambodian government asked to discuss temporary demarcation at fighting hotspots, including Thmor Da commune in Pursat province and the disputed Chouk Chey and Prey Chan villages in Banteay Meanchey province.

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet posted a lengthy address to civilians in Khmer, urging calm and raising the government's commitment to peace amid its decision to invite Thailand for border negotiations.

"Choosing to implement this ceasefire does not mean that Cambodia has surrendered or is willing to trade its territorial integrity for peace, nor does it mean that Cambodia has lost its ability or given up its right to self-defense.

On the contrary, this decision shows that Cambodia has decided to follow the path of peace and to place the lives and well-being of its people as its highest and most important priority, no matter what the pressures or difficulties."

Sophal Ear, a Cambodian political scientist and associate professor at Arizona State University's Thunderbird School of Global Management, said that the real or perceived loss of territory is an "extremely sensitive" topic in Cambodia, noting that the Cambodian premier is embracing both international treaties, and trying to "frame restraint as strength rather than weakness", in order to prevent a domestic backlash.

"Any hint that land is being conceded, even temporarily, triggers historical trauma tied to colonial borders, past losses to Vietnam and Thailand, and a deep fear of encroachment," he said.

Sophal Ear added that China's involvement in this latest iteration of the ceasefire agreement signaled an emphasis on regional stability, rather than securing "border justice".

"A calm border protects Chinese investments, trade routes, and regional credibility. That makes China an effective short-term stabilizer, though not a neutral arbiter in the long run."

This day (yesterday) in history: The Air Force ends its UFO investigation Project Grudge

Sun, December 28, 2025 at 1:56 AM PST

On December 28, 1949, the U.S. Air Force officially concluded what many considered one of the earliest chapters of modern UFO investigation: Project Saucer.

Established to investigate reports of mysterious “flying saucers” that had captivated the public and media in the late 1940s, the Air Force announced that most sightings were either hoaxes, misidentifications of ordinary objects, or natural phenomena.

With this declaration, Project Saucer was effectively abandoned, marking a turning point in America’s fascination with unexplained aerial phenomena.

The late 1940s had seen a surge of UFO sightings across the United States. Eyewitnesses reported fast-moving lights, metallic discs, and objects performing maneuvers that defied conventional aviation.

The press quickly sensationalized these accounts, coining the term “flying saucer” and fueling public curiosity—and anxiety. In response, the Air Force created Project Saucer to investigate these reports systematically, gathering data from pilots, radar operators, and civilians.

By December 1949, however, investigators had largely concluded that the majority of sightings could be explained through conventional means.

Weather balloons, misidentified aircraft, astronomical phenomena like Venus, and even optical illusions accounted for many of the reported encounters.

Some sightings were deliberate hoaxes or exaggerations, while others reflected the understandable panic and imagination of the post-war era, a period rife with anxiety about new technology and the looming Cold War.

The Air Force’s conclusion—that “flying saucers” were not evidence of extraterrestrial craft—did not end public fascination. While Project Saucer was shelved, UFO lore continued to thrive, eventually inspiring later investigations, books, films, and conspiracy theories.

The decision to classify the reports as misinterpretations also reflects the tension between scientific inquiry and public speculation, highlighting how extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

December 28, 1949, stands as a historical milestone in the modern UFO saga: the day the U.S. Air Force formally stepped back from chasing what the public had deemed mysterious and otherworldly.

Though Project Saucer was closed, the idea of unidentified flying objects persisted, evolving into decades of debate and fascination that continue to this day.

The Air Force’s declaration serves as a reminder of how human curiosity and imagination can amplify the ordinary into the extraordinary—and how skepticism and investigation work hand-in-hand to separate myth from reality.

Dec 26, 2025

Tony Rodrigues teaches remote viewing to several student groups and recently, through our mutual friend Vicki Burke who is one of his students, I suggested that they target Hawara; the 'lost subterranean labyrinth of Egypt'!

As we discussed the results from the students, we found countless confirmations of what we already know is there, as well as a few surprise elements!

My earlier video, Hawara Rising, tells much more about what has recently been revealed at the site by satellite scanning technology. • HAWARA RISING: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gm70-UBqY_g

Alien Bombshell as Dave Rubin Hosts Claims of UFO Crashes and Non-Human Intelligence—and the Government Knows It

29 December 2025, 3:39 PM GMT

For decades, whispers of flying saucers, secret crashes, and hidden truths were brushed aside as science fiction.

Now, those claims are being made openly by former government insiders, sitting senators, and intelligence officials, all speaking through a new documentary that is sending shockwaves far beyond the UFO fringe.

Why Hollywood Switched to Government Secrets

Appearing on Dave Rubin's show, filmmaker Dan Farah claims the United States government has known about non-human intelligence for over 80 years and has been quietly retrieving and reverse-engineering alien technology while the public was kept in the dark.

Dan Farah is not a fringe conspiracy figure. He spent two decades producing mainstream Hollywood films, including the Steven Spielberg blockbuster Ready Player One.

His move into the UFO world was not driven by spectacle, he insists, but by frustration.

Farah told Rubin he wanted to make the film he always wished existed.

A documentary that did not rely on speculation or internet rumours but instead featured only people with direct knowledge gained through official government work.

He said these individuals were legally allowed to speak about certain information but had long been discouraged through threats to their careers and reputations.

According to Farah, many officials were unwilling to come forward alone. The fear of ridicule and retaliation kept them silent. His solution was simple.

Bring them together. Strength in numbers, he said, offered protection. Once that idea spread quietly through military and intelligence circles, participation grew significantly.

Claims of UFO Crashes and Non-Human Bodies

The most explosive allegation in the documentary is that UFO crashes are not a myth but a historical reality.

Farah claims interviewees describe incidents dating back to the 1940s, including the famous Roswell case, where unidentified craft crashed and were recovered by secret government teams.

In some cases, Farah says, the crashes involved non-human bodies. These beings, described as intelligent life not originating from Earth, were allegedly deceased at the recovery sites.

He stressed that no classified material was shown to him, but interviewees stated on camera that the classified evidence they have seen would remove all doubt.

Farah acknowledged public scepticism. He argued that in an age of artificial intelligence and advanced visual effects, even clear footage would be dismissed.

Instead, he said, the strongest evidence today is credibility. People with security clearances, long careers, and reputations to protect choosing to speak publicly.

Reverse Engineering and a Global Technology Race

Beyond the question of alien life, the documentary focuses heavily on technology. Farah claims the US and rival nations have spent decades attempting to reverse engineer recovered craft.

The alleged technology, he says, can outperform anything currently known to science. Officials warn it could revolutionise energy production and space travel.

But it could also be weaponised. One intelligence source compared the situation to the nuclear arms race, only far more dangerous.

Farah said the United States, China and Russia are now locked in a high stakes race to understand this technology first.

Whoever succeeds could gain an overwhelming strategic advantage. That urgency, he argues, is one reason secrecy has endured for so long.

Why Public Disclosure May Be Close

Farah believes the era of silence is ending. He pointed to growing public interest and bipartisan concern, noting that politicians from opposing parties appear in his film supporting transparency.

He said public awareness is rising rapidly and predicted that a sitting US president may eventually confirm the existence of non-human intelligence. Such an announcement, he argued, would eclipse every historical revelation.

The documentary, The Age of Disclosure, has already become one of the most watched documentaries online, suggesting the public appetite for answers is stronger than ever.

Whether viewers accept the claims or not, one thing is clear. Conversations once dismissed as fantasy are now being driven by people who once worked at the heart of government power. And that alone marks a profound shift.

BRITAIN'S ROSWELL Alien ‘corpses’, RAF cover-ups & royal nuclear bunkers… inside eerie top-secret UFO research base dubbed ‘UK’s Area 51’

10:23, 29 Dec 2025

AN abandoned RAF site dubbed Britain’s ‘Area 51’ is a magnet for UFO hunters, urban explorers and conspiracy theorists who believe it was once home to government investigations into aliens.

From the outside, Rudloe Manor in Wiltshire looks like your typical 17th century Grade II listed house set in quiet rural surroundings.

But in 1950 it was taken over and became home to the RAF’s police and secret service personnel, covering espionage and counterintelligence.

And thanks to documents released in 2010 it emerged it also dealt with sightings of UFOs, leading to rumours it was hiding parts of flying saucers and even extra-terrestrial corpses recovered from crashes.

Urban explorer Gareth Smith told The Sun: “I’ve been to Rudloe a total of five times in the past 15 years. The last time I went was a year ago, and it’s almost like nature is taking it back.

“I’ve been there in the daytime and at night, and it’s pretty spooky. Inside the buildings there are brambles growing through the walls, upturned desks and chairs, and you definitely feel on edge, as well as the adrenalin pumping.

“Seeing it over the years, every time I went there I went into a different building, and the change is kind of apocalyptic.”

The base was also featured on an episode of the American TV show Ancient Aliens that explores the theory that this was top-secret government research on aliens.

Top secret documents declassified in 2010 confirmed RAF Rudloe, between Corsham and Box in Wiltshire, WAS used as a UFO intelligence base.

It was home to the Flying Complaints Flight, a unit of the RAF Police which gathered reports of UFO sightings near RAF bases and passed them to the Ministry of Defence headquarters.

Ministers heard weekly reports of UFO sightings and Churchill once even ordered one reported meeting between RAF planes and a UFO to be kept secret for at least five decades in order to prevent “mass panic”.

This is what led to it being dubbed the country’s ‘Area 51’, after the US Air Force’s military base associated with extra-terrestrial activity including the infamous Roswell incident and government cover-ups.

Wiltshire has long been an epicentre of strange activity, including crop circles, UFOs, and mysterious ancient sites like Stonehenge.

And to add further intrigue, the base sits on top of a vast maze of underground tunnels and bunkers built in old Bath Stone quarries that was essentially a city able to house as many as 4,000 people.

Government ministers would also have been evacuated to here in case of a nuclear attack on Britain, and there was even a section dedicated to the Royal Family.

There was also a BBC TV studio that the government would have used to broadcast to the nation while war raged above ground.

Top secret

Although Rudloe Manor is now a separate dwelling belonging to a local family, the RAF site and its 40 prefabricated buildings still lay abandoned, surrounded by security fences topped with razor wire.

Today, a metal gate covers the old entrance bearing the sign ‘private, keep out’, windows of the huts are boarded up or smashed out, while several oil tanks capable of holding 6,000 gallons lie peeling, covered in graffiti and vandalised.

Dog walkers use the old access road for exercise, but locals remain tight-lipped for fear of inviting more conspiracy theorists or intruders.

Despite the efforts made to secure the compound, those determined enough to battle through the brambles and scale or slip through the fencing have been able to explore the eerily quiet site and its abandoned buildings.

Gareth added: “I’ve explored the camp but never got into the house itself, it would have been pointless. It was left for 20 years in a state of dilapidation.

I know someone who’s really into UFOs who got into Rudloe Manor, but it was just a shell, just rooms blocked off with breeze blocks and in a complete state of disrepair.

“I’ve only been in the old RAF buildings though. I just find the way somewhere can be left as it was with signs of what used to go on there just fascinating.

“It became known as the UK’s Area 51 because of the rumours of UFO investigations and then some suggested there were old parts of the spacecraft or even aliens.

“It doesn’t make sense there was anything like that, because it was a non-flying military base, it had no runways. They would have investigated reports of the unexplained in the air, and I’m sure that’s still done somewhere else today.

“We’ve all seen videos of unexplained objects in the air, or UFOs, but personally I think most things can be explained, so I think it’s a pretty bold claim there was ever anything like that at Rudloe, other than documents.

“Last year when I went, I didn’t get past the boundary because there was security to stop the many people they had breaking in there.”

UFO reports

A source close to the new owners of Rudloe Manor claims the property, which lay empty for 20 years before it was renovated, is still regularly targeted for its historical link to the UFO reports.

They told The Sun: “People talk of Rudloe Manor like it’s still connected to the RAF base, but it’s just a family home now and has been since it was sold in 2021.

“That hasn’t stopped people breaking in sadly. It’s happened at least twice in the past few months, with people even trying to take pictures of the children.”

One woman who did not want to be identified said: “We’ve always known about the UFO rumours, some people want it to be true because it’s more interesting.

“The tunnels have long been closed, some of them are believed to be demolished when some of the old Rudloe buildings were crushed into the ground.

“Some people believe parts of a spaceship housed there, but I don’t think it is true. “I’d love for them to open it for tours, especially to see what the Queen’s chambers would have looked like.”

Other locals suggest the land is ear-marked for development, but no planning applications have currently been submitted.

Six and a Half Years Later, the DoD’s Reply to Harry Reid’s AATIP Memo Remains Missing

December 26, 2025

n June 2009, then–Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid sent a letter to the Department of Defense requesting heightened protection for what he described as the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP).

The four-page letter, addressed to then–Deputy Secretary of Defense William Lynn III, argued that portions of the program warranted Restricted Special Access Program (SAP) status due to sensitivity involving “unconventional aerospace-related findings,” advanced technologies, and national security implications.

The letter itself is no longer in dispute.

After years of denials, confusion, and contradictory statements, the Department of Defense ultimately acknowledged its authenticity, and the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) released the document publicly.

What remains unresolved, even after more than six and a half years after a Freedom of Information Act request first sought it, is the Department of Defense’s response to Reid’s request.

A final FOIA response issued by the Office of the Secretary of Defense/Joint Staff on December 15, 2025, under case number 19-F-0948, again produced only Reid’s original letter, directing The Black Vault to the same DIA-hosted copy previously released years earlier.

The response asserted that this constituted a “full grant” of the request and stated that no additional responsive records were found.

A Confirmed Response—But Still Missing

In 2021, Pentagon spokesperson Susan Gough confirmed to The Black Vault that the Department of Defense did, in fact, respond to Senator Reid’s 2009 memo.

“I can confirm that the memo you’re referring to is authentic. DOD received it and responded to Sen. Reid,” Gough stated at the time.

She added that her office could not release the response because “the Public Affairs office does not release Congressional correspondence.”

The statement strongly implied that a tangible written response existed and had been located.

Yet, when specifically requested under FOIA, and after the scope of the request was amended to remove any ambiguity, the Department of Defense now maintains that no such response can be found.

That amendment was formally submitted in April 2020, explicitly asking that all responses to Senator Reid be included in the search.

The Department acknowledged receipt of that amendment and confirmed it was incorporated into the case file.

Despite this, the final determination issued in 2025 claims that no response letter exists within the scope of records searched.

Procedures That Require a Written Answer

The unresolved absence of a response raises procedural questions that extend beyond AATIP itself.

Department of Defense Instruction (DoDI) 5400.04 governs the provision of information to Congress and requires that inquiries be answered in a “responsive and expeditious” manner, generally within 30 days.

Additionally, DoD Manual (DoDM) 5110.04-M outlines the internal handling of congressional correspondence and requires that an initial reply or draft be prepared within 14 calendar days for leadership review.

Taken together, these procedures make clear that a written response to a sitting Senate Majority Leader, especially one requesting Special Access Program consideration, would not be optional or informal.

At minimum, a written reply or draft response would normally be generated, staffed, and preserved.

The Department of Defense has not explained how such a response could have been sent, as confirmed by its spokesperson, yet leave no recoverable record across multiple offices years later.

A Program Still in Dispute

The missing response letter adds another layer to the long-running controversy surrounding AATIP itself.

On one side of the debate, Reid’s 2009 letter explicitly refers to AATIP as an existing program, describes work already underway, and requests additional security protections.

The attached “Attachment 1” lists AATIP as an unclassified nickname, identifies preliminary funding periods, and names both government and contractor personnel associated with the effort.

On the other side, the Department of Defense has repeatedly stated that AATIP was not an official, standalone program and that Luis Elizondo, often described publicly as its director, “had no assigned responsibilities for AATIP while he was in OUSD(I).”

That language was reiterated by Gough even while confirming Reid received a response.

The Department has characterized AATIP references as administrative or informal, while critics argue that such explanations do not reconcile with the detailed content of Reid’s memo or the apparent need for a formal Pentagon reply.

A Pattern of Difficulty

Compounding the issue is the unusual history of locating Reid’s original letter itself. For years, the Department of Defense stated it could not be found. It was later located and released by the DIA.

Now, after more than six years of FOIA processing, the Pentagon again claims it cannot locate a closely related record that its own spokesperson has acknowledged exists.

Other correspondence between Senator Reid and the Department of Defense has been located and released without comparable difficulty.

Only the response to the 2009 AATIP letter appears to fall into a category of persistent absence.

An Unanswered Question

Whether AATIP existed as a formal program, an informal effort, or something in between remains a matter of ongoing dispute.

What is no longer speculative is that Senator Reid requested action, and the Department of Defense has stated it responded.

What remains unanswered is why, under procedures that require written congressional correspondence, no response can now be produced.

It also begs the question on why this particular document continues to elude release long after the original request was filed.

Until that question is resolved, the 2009 AATIP letter remains not just a controversial document, but part of an incomplete paper trail at the center of one of the Pentagon’s most debated modern mysteries.

Are we alone in the universe? Well the answer is of course not. That shipped has sailed and has been confirmed by countless scientists, whistleblowers, members of the military, NASA itself, and on and on and on.

And we've interviewed many members of the secret space program here on our show. It's now part of the congressional record that we are not alone and also we have alien bodies in our possession and alien craft in our possession.

Hello everyone,

I noticed that I forgot to release the 41 DICOM files of Maria and Wawita that were declassified by the Peruvian government.

I have now added them to http://tridactyls.org, and these DICOMs are available to everyone without needing to sign up.

For those unfamiliar, DICOM files are the standard medical imaging format used for CT scans and MRIs, allowing researchers to examine detailed internal anatomy layer by layer.
