Lone Soldier From the U.S. Found Dead in Southern Israel, 2025 IDF Fallen Toll Rises to 152

January 1, 2026 7:03 am

The IDF has cleared for publication the death of Combat Engineering soldier Ari Goldberg, 23, originally from Virginia, who was found without signs of life in southern Israel.

The circumstances are under investigation by the Military Police, and the findings will be transferred for review by the Military Advocate General, as is standard in such cases.

Goldberg made aliyah and enlisted as a lone soldier, building a life in the Negev and becoming part of a tight-knit local community that embraced him as family.

His death brings the number of fallen IDF soldiers counted for 2025 to 152—another brutal reminder that Israel’s defenders are paying the price not only on the battlefield, but in the heavy shadows that war casts over an entire generation.

Nigerian Troops Recover Boko Haram Surveillance Drone, Arms Cache In Borno

December 31, 2025

According to the sources, the terrorists were suspected to be planning to deploy an ultra-light drone to monitor the activities of troops and local residents in the area.

In a series of coordinated operations across Adamawa and Borno states, troops of Operation Hadin Kai have recovered a drone, arms, and ammunition during counter-terrorism operations against Boko Haram and ISWAP insurgents.

According to Zagazola Makama, a security analyst and counter-insurgency expert in a post shared on his X handle on Wednesday, the encounter occurred at about 11:30 a.m. on December 30 in the Pridang general area in Borno State.

Citing sources, the report stated that troops deployed at Forward Operating Base Izge, were on a patrol in conjunction with volunteer forces when they came in contact with an unconfirmed number of terrorists on a surveillance mission.

According to the sources, the terrorists were suspected to be planning to deploy an ultra-light drone to monitor the activities of troops and local residents in the area.

The sources said the troops engaged the terrorists with overwhelming firepower, forcing them to abandon the drone and flee in disarray, possibly with gunshot wounds.

“These unmanned aerial vehicles were being used for reconnaissance and possibly for planning attacks. Their seizure will significantly degrade the terrorists’ operational capabilities," a source said.

In a series of reports posted on X handle on Wednesday, Makama stated that on December 30, at around 6:30 p.m., troops, in conjunction with local hunters, arrested four suspected ISWAP informants in Garaha and Kakara areas of Hong Local Government Area, Adamawa.

Citing sources, the suspects, identified as Chollu Alhaji, Malam Bako Abubakar, Naftali Gabriel, and Madaiba Joseph, are alleged to have provided intelligence that facilitated a deadly terrorist attack in Dubang village on December 29, which claimed the lives of several residents.

“The arrests were made following a tip-off from the local community,” said a military officer on the ground. “This shows the critical role of local hunters and residents in our counterterrorism efforts.”

The suspects are currently in the custody of the Theatre Prosecution Section, where investigations are ongoing.

In another operation, in Borno State, troops neutralized three terrorists in separate engagements.

On December 29, soldiers of the 26 Task Force Brigade, in collaboration with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) and local hunters, engaged Boko Haram/ISWAP fighters along Tokumbere and Lagara axes, killing two insurgents. One AK-47 rifle and a loaded magazine were recovered.

“We encountered a heavily armed terrorist delay party along the axis,” said a source from 26 Task Force Brigade. “Our troops engaged them decisively, neutralizing two, while the others fled in disarray. No soldiers were injured during the encounter.”

Additionally, troops of the 151 Task Force Battalion ambushed terrorists at Ladantar in Bama LGA on December 28, killing one insurgent.

“The ambush was executed flawlessly,” said a commander at Forward Operating Base Mayanti. “We recovered a fabric mat believed to belong to the terrorists. Once again, local volunteers proved instrumental in providing timely intelligence.”

Troops of the 5 Brigade, working with the CJTF in Damasak, intercepted a 38-year-old man suspected of supplying logistics to Boko Haram/ISWAP.

Makinta Bukar was arrested on December 28 while attempting to smuggle items, including phones, a power bank, a solar panel, and food supplies, through the Walada international border.

“The suspect claimed he was merely transporting goods, but preliminary investigations suggest these items were meant for the terrorists,” said a military official. “Operations like this cut off the lifeline of the insurgents and protect our communities.”

Bukar, a native of Gamari village in Niger Republic, and the seized items are currently in custody while investigations continue.

Sambisa Forest Clearance and Arms Recovery

Under Operation Desert Sanity V, troops of the 21 Special Armoured Brigade, alongside volunteer forces, conducted extensive clearance operations in Sambisa Forest on December 29 and 30.

Several abandoned terrorist enclaves were cleared, including Dure, Century Wolf, Sabil Huda, Ukuba axis, Parisu, Somalia Camp, and Njimiya areas.

“During the operations, we recovered multiple AK-47 rifles, magazines, ammunition, and hand grenades,” said an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) officer. “We also safely detonated several IEDs, preventing potential casualties and further attacks.”

“The destruction of these terrorist camps sends a clear message that the Nigerian military remains committed to dismantling insurgent networks,” added the source. “We are making significant progress in reclaiming territory and securing our communities.”

The military credited the success of these operations to the combined efforts of troops, volunteer forces, and local hunters.

“Collaboration with the community is key,” said the senior military source. “Their information often makes the difference between success and failure.”

Unidentified Drone Crashes In Maidan Wardak Province

January 1, 2026

Adrone crashed on Thursday in Maidan Wardak province, sources close to the Taliban said.

According to the sources, the unmanned aircraft went down in Maidan Shahr, the provincial capital. The origin of the drone remains unclear.

Taliban members circulated images on social media showing the wreckage of an overturned drone lying on a snow-covered hillside, with Taliban fighters seen standing around the remains.

The cause of the crash has not yet been determined, and Taliban officials have not issued an official statement on the incident.

Taliban authorities have repeatedly acknowledged that Afghanistan’s airspace is not fully under their control.

In Aqrab, Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid said US drones continued to conduct surveillance flights over Afghanistan. He added that American drones have been operating in Afghan airspace since the Taliban’s return to power, entering through some neighbouring countries and violating Afghanistan’s airspace.

Previously, Pakistan carried out drone strikes in parts of Khost and Nangarhar provinces, according to local officials.

Giant Phoenix formed by drones breaks world record in New Year's show

Updated 21:40, 01-Jan-2026

Ras Al Khaimah, one of the UAE's northern emirates, kicked off 2026 with a spectacular fusion of technology and pyrotechnics.

The show's biggest technical highlight was a lifelike phoenix with wings of fire, created by over 2,300 drones, including 1,000 state-of-the-art 'pyro drones' igniting mid-air.

A symbol of renewal, optimism and rebirth, the phoenix mirrors Ras Al Khaimah's own journey of transformation and its ambition to re-imagine the future.

Guinness World Records has officially certified it as the world's largest aerial phoenix display formed by drones.

Another striking formation, called "The Welcome," created a human silhouette rising from the sea with open arms to reflect the emirate's warmth, openness and hospitality.

As the countdown to the New Year began, a grand fireworks display erupted, choreographed in waves along the coastline.

Phillipa Harrison, chief executive officer of Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority, said, "This New Year's Eve celebration in Ras Al Khaimah is truly special.

Not only because it's our biggest show yet, but also every part of it has been orchestrated with so much hard work and creativity."

Over the past seven years, New Year's Eve celebrations put up by Ras Al Khaimah have set 13 Guinness World Records.

Three UFO reports to PSNI in 2025 but true number of sightings may be higher

January 1, 2026

Three orange lights in a “perfect triangle” in the sky were reported to police in Northern Ireland in 2025, it can be revealed.

Police also received a call on their non-emergency 101 number reporting a UFO “above the airport/docks”, and an emergency call to 999 from Coleraine during which “UFO” was heard before it cleared.

In response to a request under the Freedom of Information Act, the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) said they received three reports categorised as concerning UFOs, and none concerning aliens.

These included a call from Abbey Park in Armagh to 101 during which “three orange lights in the sky in a perfect triangle which moved then dispersed” were reported.

The 101 call reporting a UFO above the airport/docks came from an address recorded as Cypress Park, believed to refer to Cyprus Park in east Belfast, while the call from Coleraine came from Norwood Court, according to the FOI response.

Police said all three reports were “solely noted for information”, adding: “There was nothing ongoing and no lines of inquiry were identified at the time of the call.”

Asked whether the PSNI worked with any other organisations concerning UFO reports, the FOI response added: “PSNI works in partnership with others as and when circumstances require.”

The number of UFO sightings has varied over the last five years, going from four in 2019 to six in 2020, eight in 2021, one in 2022, and no reported UFO sightings from January 1 to November 1 2023.

However in 2023, there were two reported sightings of aliens and one reported sighting of “strange lights”.

There were three reports concerning UFOs in 2024, which included a caller in Belfast telling the PSNI they had noted a flying object rising into the sky from the direction behind their house.

They described: “It has a vapour trail but made no sound at all. It had green and red flashing lights,” and said it went over their house and out towards the dock area.

According to the FOI response, the PSNI did not receive any reports around widely discussed lights in the sky across Ireland in October, which was later put down to debris for a rocket launched in Florida.

The Ministry of Defence previously recorded UFO sightings, but closed its UFO desk in 2009 after concluding that in more than 50 years, no received report had ever disclosed any evidence of a potential threat.

Nick Pope, who previously investigated UFO reports for the MoD, sounded caution over the numbers.

He told the Press Association he believes numbers are low because people fear they will not be taken seriously.

“While these figures are very low, it doesn’t mean people in Northern Ireland aren’t seeing strange things in the skies,” he said.

“The wave of sightings reported across Ireland in October proves they are – even if debris from a US rocket launch was the likely culprit on that occasion.

I suspect the low numbers reflect the fact that a lot of people who see UFOs don’t report them, perhaps because they don’t think they’d be taken seriously.

“Furthermore, those people who do make a report may be more likely to contact the military, the media, or a civilian UFO research group, as opposed to calling the police.

“Until and unless an official focal point to report UFO sightings is set up, we’ll only ever get to hear about a tiny fraction of the strange phenomena undoubtedly being seen in Irish skies.”

Donald Trump 'could unveil bombshell UFO photos soon' says USAF nuclear specialist

10:13 ET, Thu, Jan 1, 2026

EXCLUSIVE: Gene Sticco, a national security expert and ex-Air Force nuclear protection specialist, has theorised that the public may, at the very least, receive enough to "satisfy the collective itch" as soon as this year

An ex-Air Force nuclear specialist has suggested that Donald Trump might become the UAP "disclosure" president, with the possibility of seeing "photos of a recovered craft" this year.

In recent times, UAP (unidentified anomalous phenomena, modern terminology for UFOs) has captured public attention, fueled by extraordinary assertions about the interstellar object 3I/ATLAS, UAP encounters reported by US Navy pilots, whistleblower testimonies, and even hearings on the subject in the US Congress.

Most recently, a documentary called "The Age of Disclosure" brought together 34 senior figures from US Government, intelligence, and military circles who claimed direct knowledge of the UAP phenomenon.

The IMDB synopsis describes an "80-year global cover-up of non-human intelligent life" and what it purports to be a "secret war" among the world's superpowers to "reverse engineer advanced technology of non-human origin".

Meanwhile, Gene Sticco, a national security expert and former Air Force nuclear protection specialist, has become entangled in the subject through his father-in-law, Valerij Černohajev.

Valerij served as an officer of public works in the Soviet Union and reportedly authored a detailed manuscript that appeared to expose the internal workings of a UAP.

Gene, the lead investigator and co-author of Engineering Infinity: Earth's First Interstellar Blueprint, was asked to weigh in on whether the US Government possesses evidence of extraterrestrial intelligence.

He told the Daily Star: "The 'smoking gun' is out there. Whether or not they EVER wheel it out for public display is another question.

One thing I am certain of – barring 'catastrophic disclosure' ie, a craft lands on the White House lawn and NHI emerge, what we get and how we get it will be for a political advantage/ positioning.

"That's why I do think President Trump will be the 'disclosure' President. The next step I expect is a Presidential Commission which will set the stage for the disclosure speech. It won't be ALL that everyone wants, but it will make it official."

When questioned about the possibility of seeing this "smoking gun" in 2026, Gene suggested that the public might receive enough information to "satisfy the collective itch", potentially including "photos of a recovered craft".

He elaborated that if there is indeed progress to be made in UAP disclosure, and if Trump intends to spearhead it, a presidential commission could be expected in 2026.

However, he cautioned that if Trump says "UAPs and NHI (non-human intelligence) are real", it could invite ridicule and criticism.

Gene stated: "If he frames it as 'on both sides of the aisle there is a concern, there's ongoing debate' and he takes a leadership position on it by forming a non-partisan commission of physicists, scientists, academics, economists, experts in intelligence, aviation, defense, biology; he clears them for SAP access (Special Access Programs which are Executive branch level systems Congress currently claims are blocking them)."

He said their report could serve as the "conduit" to "truly defining what's releasable" and what constitutes a national security issue, adding that they could also "make recommendations" to Congress about "what needs to be changed".

Finally, in a captivating hint about the potential outcome in such a situation, Gene continued: "So even if it's not full disclosure, the basic confirmations get out, the debate is settled and institutions can begin taking steps towards normalisation of this 'new reality.'

I wouldn't expect too much 'dirt', but if there's non-blurry photos; photos of a recovered craft.

"We may get a couple of those. I doubt we'd see an alien body, but perhaps we get some analysis of biological materials to satisfy the collective itch in the moment."

The five unsolved mysteries of 2025 that captivated the world… from a UFO surviving a hellfire missile to a 'vast city' under Egypt's pyramids

Updated: 13:55 EST, 31 December 2025

As 2025 comes to a close, several mysteries that left the world in stunned disbelief still have yet to be fully explained.

The past 12 months have read like a science-fiction novel, with thousands of UFOs swarming over the US East Coast, an interstellar visitor invading our solar system, and the potential discovery of giant columns under the Egyptian pyramids.

Moreover, scientists and government officials have been unable to disprove all of the wild theories surrounding many of these jaw-dropping events, including one respected scientist's claim that the giant space rock 3I/ATLAS may be an alien craft.

This roller-coaster year actually got off to a running start with the mysterious appearance of drone swarms over the US starting in late 2024, including over then-candidate for president Donald Trump's golf course in New Jersey.

The New Jersey drone sightings

The bizarre drone sightings along the East Coast started in November 2024, with hundreds of people issuing reports to the UAP (Unidentified Aerial Phenomena) tracking website Enigma Labs before 2025 even began.

Once the new year rang in, the concerning sightings continued, causing the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to put a temporary ban on flying drones in 22 New Jersey towns in January.

The ban did little to stop the sightings, with many Americans spotting 'car-sized drones' making no noise as they invaded the airspace of local military bases and Trump's property.

On his first day back in the Oval Office, Trump said he would start investigating the mysterious drone activity and put his chief of staff, Susie Wiles, on the case.

The eventual reveal by the White House raised more questions than answers, as the president declared that the drones were 'not the enemy' and had been authorized by the US government to conduct 'research.'

In fact, the FAA failed to mention that drones had been cleared to conduct this alleged research and claimed the objects were 'lawful commercial drones and helicopters.'

To this day, the origin of the drone swarms, their targets over New Jersey and the rest of the East Coast, and their research remain a mystery.

However, an unnamed private firm contracted by the US military eventually took responsibility for the mysterious drone swarms, claiming they were conducting tests of their advanced aerial craft, according to off-the-record comments at an Army summit in August 2025.

The Buga sphere

Just weeks after the US drone swarm crisis, an alleged alien probe in South America was not only caught on video, but was recovered from a crash site in Colombia.

Named the Buga sphere, after the city it flew over in March, the strange hovering object was seen striking a power line and landing in a field, where local David Velez el Potro found it and refused to hand it over to the Colombian government.

Scientists who examined the alleged space probe found that it contained a maze of fiber-optic wires and emitted some form of energy that killed the soil and grass it touched and made people sick.

It was also covered in symbols that researchers compared to ancient scripts, including runes, Ogham, and Mesopotamian writing systems - although some skeptical scientists have dismissed the object as an elaborate art project.

Eventually, the Buga sphere was taken to Mexico City for further study by ufologists and other scientists.

In June, Dr Steven Greer, an American ufologist and retired physician, claimed on X that 'fake policemen' attempted to enter the vault where the suspected UFO was being kept.

Since then, little information has been released about the Buga sphere, which researchers have called the first UFO recovered by private citizens and solely controlled by non-government scientists.

Interstellar object 3I/ATLAS

In the summer of 2025, another alleged alien visitor quickly moved into our solar system, marking only the third recorded object to enter our system from elsewhere in the cosmos.

The interstellar object 3I/ATLAS was discovered in early July, with most astronomers quickly moving to declare the visitor a comet, a fast-moving ice ball from a distant solar system.

NASA and the European Space Agency have both declared 3I/ATLAS a comet, but have been criticized for their lack of high-quality images of the space rock compared to photos taken by amateurs using backyard telescopes.

Moreover, esteemed Harvard physicist Avi Loeb pointed out that the object was no ordinary comet, revealing at least 12 different abnormalities that suggested that the three-mile-long object may have been artificially created by an alien intelligence.

Those clues included having a comet's tail which is facing in the wrong direction of the sun, known as an anti-tail, suggesting the stream is actually exhaust from an engine that's guiding the object through space.

'There are still many unresolved anomalies of 3I/ATLAS. Each of these anomalies has less than a percent random chance and no explanation so far,' Loeb told the Daily Mail on Wednesday.

Loeb added that there's still more time to find out the true origins of 3I/ATLAS, which will pass Jupiter on March 16, 2026.

It has strangely shifted its course to perfectly align with the Lagrange points of Jupiter, a 'parking spot' in space where the gravity of the sun and Jupiter cancel each other out, so the object is not pulled apart.

'It would be interesting to check whether 3I/ATLAS releases any devices as satellites at the Lagrange points,' Loeb added.

'Vast city' under Egypt's Giza pyramids

A discovery that has been unfolding all year may rewrite the origins of the ancient Egyptians forever.

In March, Italian researchers claimed to have uncovered 'a vast underground city' which stretches more than 4,000 feet directly underneath the Pyramids of Giza, making them 10 times larger than the pyramids themselves.

The bombshell claim, which many experts claim to have already debunked, came from a study that used radar pulses to create high-resolution images deep into the ground beneath the structures, the same way sonar radar is used to map the depths of the ocean.

In July, the same team identified a colossal vertical shaft leading to two chambers below the Sphinx.

While mainstream archaeologists have slammed the work as unscientific and speculative, the team insists their latest scans point to something extraordinary.

However, the physical proof that these structures really exist has not been presented yet, and answers to what their mysterious purpose may have been did not come in 2025.

Heading into 2026, the research team is hoping to receive permission to dig under both major structures to find traces of the hidden city. They've also submitted a formal proposal for non-invasive access, such as clearing existing shafts at the site.

US government weighs UFO and alien disclosure

This year also brought multiple bombshells when it comes to the discussion over UFOs and extraterrestrial life, with the US government reportedly moving closer than ever before to full disclosure of classified reports on aliens.

In September, a panel of US military veterans testified before Congress as whistleblowers into the activities of secret government programs that allegedly had proof that UFOs and extraterrestrials were real.

In one shocking video, the public was shown a US military drone actually firing a Hellfire missile at a UFO, only to see the weapon harmlessly bounce off the extremely advanced craft.

Since the hearing, Vice President JD Vance doubled down on a promise to 'get to the bottom of' the existence of alien life.

In November, a bombshell documentary called 'The Age of Disclosure' was released, which interviewed a plethora of high-ranking government officials, detailing the alleged 80-year global cover-up of alien life and the technology humans have created using pieces of crashed UFOs.

While the US military has maintained that America has no evidence aliens or UFOs exist, the odds of President Trump revealing what he knows about the topic suddenly skyrocketed in December, leading experts to believe full public disclosure is just days away.

Stranger Things or Alien? A glowing red crack has appeared at Los Angeles airport and people are losing it

Last Updated: Jan 01, 2026, 01:41:00 PM IST

A video showing a glowing red line cutting through the tarmac at Los Angeles International Airport has set social media buzzing, with passengers and online users struggling to explain what they are seeing.

The clip, shared widely on X, shows what looks like a thin crack in the concrete emitting a red glow from within, spotted as travellers waited near boarding gates.

The sight quickly sparked panic and curiosity online. Some users speculated about a gas line problem beneath the runway, while others joked that it looked like a scene straight out of Stranger Things.

A few even went as far as suggesting alien activity or molten lava beneath the airport, questioning why the surface appeared to glow and why no emergency response was visible.

A Strange Glowing Red Crack: What exactly did passengers notice?

According to the viral post, the glowing line became noticeable when aircraft were operating nearby.

The red colour appeared to shine through a straight line on the concrete, making it look as though heat or something burning was trapped below the surface.

Despite the dramatic visuals, passengers were not seen evacuating the area, and airport operations appeared to continue as normal.

Internet theories flood comment sections

As the video spread, comment sections turned into a mix of fear, humour and wild imagination. Some users expressed genuine concern over airport safety, while many treated it as internet entertainment.

One user joked that the “upside down” from Stranger Things had opened at LAX. Another wondered if lava or some unknown substance was pushing its way up through the ground.

More realistic explanations offered

Amid the speculation, some users offered practical explanations. A few claimed the glow could be caused by ear plugs or lightweight debris being blown along the ground by powerful jet engine thrust, creating friction and heat.

Others suggested it might be residue from aircraft-related fluids reacting under intense conditions, rather than anything coming from beneath the airport.

These explanations helped calm some fears, with users pointing out that airports often experience unusual visual effects due to heavy machinery and aircraft movement.

So far, there has been no official statement indicating any danger or disruption at Los Angeles International Airport. Flights reportedly continued without interruption, and there were no emergency alerts linked to the incident.

North Korea's Kim hails troops fighting in 'alien land' and touts Russia alliance

January 1, 2026

North Korea's leader Kim Jong-un hailed troops fighting in an "alien land" in his New Year message, state media reported on Thursday, in which he underscored Pyongyang's "invincible alliance" with Moscow.

Without mentioning fighting with Russia against Ukraine, Kim addressed personnel in what the state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) described as "overseas operations units," congratulating them on their "heroic" defence of the nation's honour and instructing them to "be brave."

"As the whole country is enveloped in a festive atmosphere of greeting the new year, I all the more miss you, who are fighting bravely on the battlefields in the alien land even at this moment, true to the order of your homeland," he said, according to KCNA.

"Behind you are Pyongyang and Moscow," Kim said in the message.

North Korea has sent thousands of troops to support Russia's nearly four-year full-scale invasion of Ukraine, according to South Korean and Western intelligence agencies.

At least 600 have died and thousands more have sustained injuries, according to South Korean estimates.

Analysts say North Korea is receiving financial aid, military technology and food and energy supplies from Russia in return.

North Korean soldiers are instructed to kill themselves rather than be taken prisoner, according to South Korea's intelligence service.

The North Korean leader praised soldiers for strengthening the alliance with Russia, calling on them to fight "for the fraternal Russian people."

Two North Korean prisoners of war held by Ukraine said they hoped to start a "new life" in South Korea, according to a letter seen by AFP in December.

Previous reports had indicated that the two men, held captive by Kyiv since January 2025 after sustaining injuries on the battlefield, were seeking to defect to the South.

In the letter, the two prisoners thanked those working on their behalf "for encouraging us and seeing this situation not as a tragedy but as the beginning of a new life."

"We firmly believe that we are never alone and we think of those in South Korea as our own parents and siblings and have decided to go into their embrace," they wrote.

After weeks of speculation, North Korea confirmed in April that it had sent troops to support Russian forces in putting down a surprise Ukrainian incursion in the Kursk region.

Kim sent the troops under the mutual defence treaty both countries signed in 2024, the Central Military Commission of the ruling Workers' Party said in a statement.

And in June, Kim again affirmed his "unconditional support" for Russia's war against Ukraine during a meeting with a top Russian official.

The comments were made during talks with Russian Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu in Pyongyang, according to KCNA.

Kim reiterated his “unconditional support for the stand of Russia and its foreign policies in all the crucial international political issues including the Ukrainian issue," KCNA said.

‘Mysterious’ glowing spiral appears in sky – near where possible UFO was spotted in 2024

Updated 18:10, 01 Jan 2026

A driver was left stunned after an eerie glowing spiral mysteriously appeared in the sky. Matt Kipling was heading home when he spotted the bizarre phenomenon.

He was baffled by the lights and managed to record a clip after pulling over while on the A30 near Wadebridge, Cornwall. Matt said: "It was a mystery I’ve never seen anything like it.

“I’m not really one for UFOs but it was definitely completely unusual. It was around 6.30pm and I had not long joined the A30 on my way home to Wadebridge.

“It just caught my eye. I pulled the van over in a lay-by and tried to show my mother on FaceTime but unfortunately the phone couldn’t pick it up.

"I then took a video and sent it to her, and she also said it was bizarre and had never seen anything like it. “There was no sound.

“There was no street lighting and it was completely pitch black and no houses near by. I had to get back in the van and drive away because I was in a restricted lay-by. I later sent the video to my partner and friends and they were all surprised.”

The incident took place on Christmas Day, but also occurred in 2024. Another local was left stunned by a multicoloured suspected UFO, also in Cornwall. It was filmed hovering over a scenic estuary and was captured on camera by Charlotte Helyer.

The object seemed to change shape as she watched near her family home, with the silent sphere splitting into five separate parts at one point as it floated above the horizon.

Charlotte said: “We saw a really strange series of lights hovering over the hills in the distance. It was at about 11pm.

They floated left and right before seeming to reduce into just two balls of white light that floated away miles into the distance. I would say the distance was about six miles but they were very bright.

"I can’t explain what they might be. They were too bright to be drones.

“And the way they floated off into the distance means any drone controller would have been out of reach.

They also did not return and were completely silent. I have no idea what they were.”

The possible UFO was spotted by Charlotte in July 2024.

Congressman Says Best UAP Witness Yet Coming Forward

January 1, 2026

Representative Eric Burlison from Missouri has revealed that a potentially significant new whistleblower may be coming forward to meet with congressional investigators.

According to an extensive interview Burlison gave to the Psicoactivo podcast, David Grusch, the intelligence officer turned whistleblower who now serves as a special advisor on Burlison’s staff, has been working to connect lawmakers with this new source.

When asked about the potential significance of this witness, Burlison stated the individual has the potential to be the best witness they have had, a notable statement given previous testimony from figures like Grusch himself, Ryan Graves, and David Fravor.

Burlison was refreshingly candid about the political challenges facing UAP disclosure efforts.

He described involvement in the topic as politically toxic, noting that only himself, Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna, and Congressman Tim Burchett have been willing to consistently push for transparency.

According to Burlison, the UAP Disclosure Act came very close to passing before being blocked, with committee staff determining the language was out of scope for the National Defense Authorization Act, a decision he called flatly false.

The congressman also revealed he has made formal requests to the White House to visit underground facilities where alleged UAP materials might be stored.

More intriguingly, he disclosed that he is reaching out directly to Vice President JD Vance, reasoning that if the Vice President requests access to locations like Dugway Proving Grounds or Area 51, it becomes much harder for the Department of Defense or CIA to deny entry. However, that did not stop them for stopping Former Presidents Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton.

In a separate development, researcher Richard Dolan discussed his extensive investigation into unidentified submerged objects during an appearance on Reality Check with Ross Coulthart.

Dolan, who has documented nearly 700 USO cases, identified Catalina Island off the California coast as a genuine hotspot for anomalous activity. This is the same general region where the famous Tic Tac encounter with the USS Nimitz occurred in 2004.

Dolan’s research uncovered a striking statistical anomaly. Before 1967, USO sightings were split almost exactly 50/50 between daytime and nighttime.

After 1967, that ratio shifted dramatically to 75 percent nighttime sightings, with military encounters specifically jumping to nearly 90 percent at night.

According to the discussion, this shift may correlate with the introduction of the KH-4B Corona spy satellite, which offered significantly improved optical reconnaissance capabilities.

The implication suggests that whatever intelligence is behind these objects may have adapted its behavior to avoid improving surveillance technology.

Dolan also found that military vessels experience electromagnetic interference at twice the rate of civilian vessels during USO encounters, with communication systems failing and radar stopping, suggesting something intelligent is conducting reconnaissance on military assets.
