Believing that God exists does not make you a Christian. The word Christian comes from Christ in you. You have to be born again in Christ - receive Holy Spirit - to be a true Christian. Read Romans 10:9&10 to find out how to get born again, how to be saved. It is not just acknowledging that God exists.
