Not to minimize the great work that our guys did but it strains credulity to believe that we went deep into Caracas, extracted the President and his wife without a little help form the inside. Likely from Maduro himself.
It's not difficult at all to believe that he actually made a deal to give himself up and spill the beans on which US pols are on the take and for how much, how the smartmatic software is of Venezuelan origins, election fraud. Then he can "die suddenly" or be released by an "activist judge" or hang himself in his prison cell with dental floss, something like that.
He has a lot to sell but, in keeping with recent tradition, the Venezuelan people will get to own their revolution. We'll probably have a caretaker roll for a very short period of time (like a few weeks) and then they can reassert themselves and run their own country.
We'll go in and renew their oil infrastructure and retain a piece of the action as compensation for expropriated US property and the modernization of facilities. the Vens won't care because we'll triple production and not steal it all from them or starve them to death.
