Every country needs a military to safeguard against invasion and civil unrest. Being completely disarmed is just an invitation for an easy takeover by past enemies without a fight and no country anywhere should be completely disarmed. Instead, there should be agreements to the type of defensive armament that they can have. Missiles, artillery, aircraft, and nuclear should be limited or banned, but guns, land mines, certain types of drones, and grenades, should be enough force for opposition to consider boots on the ground.
