freeze along the frontline in Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, and Crimea. Demilitarization of these areas.
When hostilities stop, Russia will still occupy these areas. Only things that could remove Russia would be either constant force or a superior one, in either case is just more blood shed of countless millions. A financial collapse of the Russian economy, which is quite possible because Ukraine will always apply pressure. Or if both sides agree, by the vote of the people, and if honored, is bloodless, saves lives, and makes no dispute about it because it is the will of the people and both sides may be in for a surprise if there was a fair vote.
So, the best solution would be to 1. stop all hostilities 2. let Russia occupy for a duration, until a fair referendum or vote occurs and is monitored by fair outside sources that both will honor. Cause on thing for sure is, is that the people who live in these contested areas, will want to live in peace and demilitarize their zones as opposed to armed interests.
