Russia wants demilitarization
Russia should only have demilitarization as far as they are willing to demilitarize parts of Russia to be fair. If Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, be demilitarized then the same square footage of Russian soil should also be demilitarized. That would in affect create an even larger buffer zone and give both sides ample warning of an incursion. Being armed at the border has to be mutual to ensue peace, and if it is truly is important, then you should welcome it on both sides.
