I think he was a miscalculation, never forget Bill's call to Trump right before Trump entered the race. It was written about at the time. Trump was supposed to be the clown that divided the right, making Killery the less laughable choice. Trump deiced, no I am going to make an actual run at it, take over the system, and stabbed the establishment in the back.
It all makes sense when you consider why all the princes would kill each other for power in the system where they needed the system to survive, they just wanted to be the king. They would use any means necessary to gain that power, including manipulating the people in ways that made the people think they had power or were part of fixing the system, but in the end, it was really all about maintaining and controlling they system for themselves. Both had the same goals of making the system stronger, both can be working toward the a bigger goal for the system (none of this is ever done in a vacuum, so co-oping the current power brokers necessary) while fighting over who will be at the top of the system you are building.
Further, the vax thing was a humiliation ritual for one part of society, Trump building the system people thought they were voting for him to dismantle would just be another demoralizing humiliation ritual for the other half of society. In the end, both halves of society have been subjugated to the new system that was the goal all along.
Steven Miller told you what it is really about in his recent post about power.
