That is fine. Some small criminal record is tolerated as well, so don't worry about petty recruitment reqs. Think of it like this: if you can work in a risk-filled construction yard during harsh winters you will most likely be considered a potentially approved candidate for deployment.

We can in rare cases, make an exceptional contract for older people. If you think you can survive the climate, are of use to the colonies with a young body and mind you should still apply. You would in that case get instant base retirement after 3 years of verified contract fulfillment. The advertisement campaign for volunteers might start as soon as spring.

As a matter of fact, you might even be offered a big piece of coastal land close to the colonies for your retirement. This might however only be offered for the first wave settlers as there is arctic pioneer land available.
