Hey, don't get me wrong, I messed around with that stuff between the ages of 17 to 19, but I came to see it as a life-destroying drug. It was a somewhat pleasant sensation from what I remember, fairly intense, but I truly never did enjoy it, made me too jittery and anxious, and the high was so fleeting you had to start taking more after 5 to 10 minutes. I was running with a bad crowd after breaking up with the high school sweetheart that I was with for 2/3rds of high school at the time. Watched a couple friends destroy their lives over that drug, they even turned to injecting it like heroin and that was what freaked me out. I decided there was no way that was going to happen to me after what I saw it was doing to them, so I stopped using it, stopped hanging out with those guys, started hanging out with a new group of friends and became an alcoholic that almost destroyed my life instead. Eventually had to give that up too.

KEK. Could always open it up to more than one image but still leave the limit at 14KB. That could be kind of funny. Like, if you want to post 5 images then your images will only be 2.8KB in size with a crappy resolution. Probably be more overhead than it'd be worth though having to resize multiple per post.

I'm also not going to lie, I do miss speaking and not-speaking with gifs and short clips of pop culture from TV and movies though, but I view the 14KB decision as a challenge to test myself. If I can meme within 14KB with a single image and still be as effective as before then the meme is not bound to its size, is it?

You just have to be smart about what you meme now with the post size limitation. If the text is small in the image before the server resizes it, then consider putting it in the text body instead for easy readability. A complete meme need not be confined within a single image. Screenshot the image and the post text for sharing from here then. It's all a matter of perspective, and IAO'ing the situation. Are you going to lament over it or function through it effectively?

That's not an answer I'm privy to. Not sure if it's a site-wide limitation of just this board, it honestly doesn't really matter to me. Like I said, I kind of consider it an interesting challenge to test myself. If I can meme effectively within 14KB then I can meme anything.
