Had a pretty difficult time a few months ago when this came out. (More articles than this one) Knew some of these priests. Found out I knew at least one of the victims. Felt it probably explained some suicides. Also strongly feel like it "explained" an incident where a teen went into a high school over Christmas break and started shooting people from a window on an upper story.

One of the victims said a nun had walked into the classroom when he was being abused, put her head down, turned around and walked out. Had such a difficult time emotionally. Was angry!! WHO was PROTECTING THESE CHILDREN?????

Hi Anon. Yeah, it was really rough for awhile, almost posted here back then. Fortunately, I stopped "practicing" Catholicism when I was 18. Went to Catholic school through 12th grade, myself, but felt that so much of it was "lies".

When I found out about the names being released, found out that the sniper was one of the 3 boys that one of those priests paid particular attention to - but his name came to MY mind before it was ever uttered to me. He was my brother's age, so my brother had mentioned him as 1 of 3.

For a very small parochial HS, we also had a lot of suicides. One of those named priests taught there. Probably saying too much, but I know the person who got the settlement. I felt like it the abuse really explained a lot !! But I was even MORE angry hearing about the nun! She was probably "ordered" to keep silent! =(
