It is profoundly unfortunate that he seems to be squandering the massive percentage of American's that can and would fully back him in this difficult time, if he (his Administration) wasn't simply falling back upon the faulty narrative of 'Police/LEOs/Cops/Authority can do no wrong, just Submit, Obey and Comply'.
Unfortunately, be it by evil Intention or mindless stupidity, the Profession of Law Enforcement has lost the plot long ago, protecting the very same Government that has caused this mess on every sidewalk and byway, and made general hostility towards every person, citizen and civilian alike.
Diminishing, disregarding, disobeying the confines of the Bill of Rights (for a very long time) by All Of Government and especially those charged with 'keeping the peace', has brought Us All to a very ugly Precipice.
May God above help us to NOT light our world in flames.
