Mayo Clinic Rochester advises staff to contact security if approached by ICE

 

(ABC 6 News) – Mayo Clinic leadership provided staff with instructions for encounters with ICE, following widespread federal activity in Minnesota.

In the message, Mayo Clinic leadership said they had received reports of an alleged Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrest “around Mayo Clinic Rochester” Thursday.

 

“Mayo Clinic is in contact with law enforcement and will continue to prioritize safety for our patients, visitors, and staff,” the message read.

 

The message instructed staff to contact Security for assistance addressing any ICE requests or to answer questions about events “where ICE presence may occur.”

 

“Mayo Clinic will treat an ICE request the same as any other federal law enforcement request to ensure that there is a proper review of the supporting paperwork, including consideration of Mayo Clinic’s ability to release a patient’s protected health information,” the message read. “Staff should work with security to help minimize disruptions to operations.

 

The message also provided employees with the phone numbers for on-campus security and mental health resources.

 

Communications director Andrea Kalmanovitz provided the following to ABC 6 News statement on behalf of the clinic:

 

“Mayo Clinic is committed to providing a safe, compassionate environment for patients, staff and visitors. Any law enforcement presence on or near our facilities is handled in accordance with the law and our established protocols, which are designed to protect patient and staff privacy and ensure operations are not disrupted.”

 

This is I believe the Largest Employer in the state if I remember correctly.

Wonder if they are complicit in the Fraud Schemes. I am not gonna get into the History of The founders but it has a history also those who serve on the board of directors or did serve… I believe was mentioned in a drop.
