"received a $175,000 settlement—$100,000 in damages and $75,000 in attorneys’ fees—after suing the Vermont State Police and Trooper Jay Riggen for violating his First Amendment rights."

The lawsuit followed a February 2018 incident in which Riggen pulled over and arrested Bombard for alleged “disorderly conduct” after Bombard cursed at Riggen and gave him the middle finger, actions protected by the U.S. Constitution.

5th entry:

"agreed to a $350,000 settlement with Guadalupe Marin. Marin sued the City after a July 2020 incident in which police kicked and dragged her in front of her family."

Why You Can't Remove Your Government (And What That Actually Means)

What happens when you realise there's no legal mechanism to remove the system itself — only the people inside it?

This isn't about left vs right. It's about the structure. How it was designed. Who it serves. And why the one thing you're never offered is the option to replace it.

We look at:

— How the UK constitution makes structural change impossible

— Why Parliament can only be dissolved by itself

— The real cost of running for office (and who that excludes)

— Historical examples where systems were actually removed — France 1789, Russia 1917, Romania 1989, Iran 1979, Sri Lanka 2022

— What the dictionary definition of "dictatorship" actually says

— Why every candidate who reaches the top has already proven they won't change anything

This is documentary-level research delivered with the energy of a comedian who read the terms and conditions.

Trump admin science director says American tech can 'manipulate time and space'

by JACKSON WALKER | The National News DeskWed, April 16, 2025 at 4:04 PM

WASHINGTON (TNND) — White House Director of Science and Technology Michael Kratsios on Monday suggested the United States has technology that can “manipulate time and space.”

The comment came during remarks on “the golden age of American innovation” at the Endless Frontiers Retreat in Austin, Texas. Kratsios said during the event that American technological developments have stalled compared to the 20th century.

“A gap lies between our moment and the speed of transformation America experienced midcentury,” he said. “Progress has slowed.”

He continued by explaining a recent “stagnation” in technological development happened by choice. The nation, he argued, is “capable of so much more.”

“Our technologies permit us to manipulate time and space,” Kratsios said. “They leave distance annihilated, cause things to grow, and improve productivity.”

Kratsios did not explain what technology his remark referred to, though the address went on to mention artificial intelligence, biotech and semi-conductors.

The remarks come as the Trump administration announced several exemptions to allowing technology companies to evade its recent tariff blitz. Apple watches, laptops and semiconductor equipment are among a slew of items exempted from the staggering tariffs on Chinese goods and the base 10% tariff applied to all other imports.

The president on Wednesday also released a fact sheet regarding his plan to involve technology in his plan to increase government efficiency. That document cited a presidential memo directing government agencies to “make maximum use of technology” for infrastructure projects.
