Former Conservative Chancellor Nadhim Zahawi has officially joined Reform UK, marking the most senior defection from the Conservative Party to Nigel Farage’s party to date.

Zahawi’s defection follows a series of high-profile Conservative MPs and peers joining Reform UK, including Lord Malcolm Offord, who announced his switch to contest the 2026 Scottish Parliament elections.
