Out of my entire elementary, middle and high school class, id be surprised if 2% retained any substance of Civics Class and the basic principles of the Foundational philosophy.
Even my own Boomer parents and their peers have demonstrated wild deviation from the expectations of the Public and the great importance of LIMITED Government.
I can only imagine that 'America' is just running on the human habit of general politeness at this point.
