Trump's US attorney who led Minnesota fraud probe resigns
Joe Thompson, the acting U.S. Attorney of Minnesota appointed by President Donald Trump who led a probe that uncovered massive fraud in the state, has resigned from the position, according to reports.
Thompson in an email wrote that it had “been an honor and a privilege to represent the United States and this office,” according to the Minnesota Star-Tribune, which obtained the email. Thompson did not give a reason as to why he was resigning in the email, the Star-Tribune reported.
