Ukrainian Drone Strikes on Southern Russia Kill 3
January 14, 2026
At least three people were killed and several others were wounded in Ukrainian drone attacks against regions in southern Russia overnight, local authorities said early Wednesday.
In the Belgorod region, which is struggling to restore power, heating and water after Ukrainian strikes this weekend, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov reported the deaths of two civilians as a result of drone attacks.
Further to the south, in the city of Rostov-on-Don, a drone crashed into an apartment building, Rostov Governor Yury Slyusar said. A man was killed after an apartment caught fire, he added.
Four other people, including a four-year-old child, were wounded in drone strikes elsewhere in the Rostov region, which sparked fires at several industrial sites, according to Slyusar.
Russia’s Defense Ministry said it destroyed 48 Ukrainian drones across Russia and annexed Crimea overnight. More than half of those drones were downed in the skies above the Rostov region, the ministry said.
Meanwhile, in Ukraine, military authorities reported downing more than 100 Russian drones that were launched at the country overnight.
Both Ukraine and Russia regularly launch drone and missile attacks at each other’s territory, with officials in Kyiv justifying their strikes as retaliation for Russia’s full-scale invasion and ongoing occupation of Ukrainian territory.
In particular, Ukraine has intensified strikes on Russia’s energy infrastructure since the summer in an effort to cut Moscow’s oil revenues, a key source of funding for its war effort.

RSF drone strikes kill dozens at high-level Sudan military meeting
January 14, 2026
SINJA — Coordinated Rapid Support Forces (RSF) drone strikes killed at least 27 people on Monday in the southeastern city of Sinja, according to regional health officials.
The attack targeted the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) 17th Infantry Division headquarters and a government guest house while a high-level meeting of military-appointed governors and senior army commanders was underway.
Sennar State Health Minister Ibrahim Al-Awad reported that 73 people were wounded in the strikes, which hit fixed military and administrative targets.
The attack took place as governors from White Nile State, Sennar State, and the Blue Nile Region met to discuss border demarcation. Verified video footage later showed significant damage and casualties inside the military command facility.
The government of Sennar State issued a formal statement to residents acknowledging the impact of the raid. The authorities stated that a strategic drone targeted the city and that ground-based air defenses responded with full force.
The statement noted that while the attack resulted in losses and injuries among civilians, the situation in Sinja returned to normal and security forces remained on alert.
“Despite the civilian losses, the situation in Sinja quickly returned to normal. Life in the city is now proceeding in a very normal manner, as if nothing had happened,” the statement seen by Sudans Post reads in part.
The government of White Nile State confirmed the deaths of two officials in a separate mourning statement. It identified the victims as Al-Mahi Hamad Ibrahim from the State Protocol Office and Sergeant Abdelhadi Al-Safi, the Governor’s bodyguard.
The administration described them as martyrs of duty who were killed while accompanying the governor during the official meeting.
“With deep sorrow and profound grief… we mourn before Almighty God the martyrs of duty: Al-Mahi Hamad Ibrahim (State Protocol Office) and Sergeant Abdelhadi Al-Safi (the Governor’s bodyguard), who were martyred today in the city of Sinja while carrying out their duties, as a result of an attack by a drone belonging to the rebel militia,” the statement said.
To address online reports regarding the alleged killing of the governor, the government of the Blue Nile Region released a statement reassuring citizens that the Governor is safe and in good health.
The regional government categorically denied rumors of his injury or death and warned against misinformation campaigns being circulated by the RSF militia following the explosion at the guest house.
“The Government of the Blue Nile Region reassures dear citizens that the Governor of the Blue Nile Region… is safe and in good health. There is absolutely no truth to the rumors and false claims being circulated by the Rapid Support militia,”
The Sudan Doctors Network issued a statement condemning the use of guided munitions in the attack and reported additional civilian fatalities.
The network stated that ten people were killed by a missile fired from an RSF drone at several locations in Sinja. They described the incident as a grave violation against civilians that adds to a long list of crimes committed during the conflict.
“Ten people were killed by a guided missile fired from a Rapid Support Forces drone at several locations in Sinja… This latest crime adds to the long list of grave violations against civilians,” the statement said.
The strike triggered panic in Sinja and overwhelmed local medical facilities, leading the state government to issue an urgent appeal for blood donations.
Sinja Teaching Hospital reportedly operated at full capacity as volunteers and doctors struggled to cope with the influx of wounded.
The raid was followed on Tuesday by another drone attack on army headquarters in Kosti, suggesting an expanded aerial campaign.

Kazakhstan waging talks with international partners in wake of drone attacks on CPC
14 January 2026 16:12 (UTC +04:00)
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan has initiated urgent talks with ambassadors from several European countries, as well as with the United States and other international partners, following the drone attacks on three tankers en route to the Caspian Pipeline Consortium’s (CPC) marine terminal in the Black Sea on January 13, 2026, Trend reports via the Kazakh MFA.
The talks revolve around the necessity of implementing robust strategies to safeguard hydrocarbon transportation, particularly along maritime routes, while adhering closely to international law.
"The Republic of Kazakhstan is not a party to any armed conflict, makes a significant contribution to strengthening global and European energy security, and ensures the uninterrupted supply of energy resources in full compliance with established international norms.
In this regard, we note that the tankers in question had all the necessary permits and were equipped with the required identification equipment," stated the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The ministry also highlighted that the increasing number of incidents reflects the growing risks to the functioning of international energy infrastructure and called on partners to engage in close cooperation to develop joint measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
The Caspian Pipeline Consortium is an international oil transportation initiative involving Russia, Kazakhstan, and several major extraction companies, featuring a pipeline system extending over 1,500 kilometers.
The pipeline serves as a crucial conduit for oil from vast fields in Western Kazakhstan, along with Russian producers.
Crude oil is then delivered to the CPC marine terminal in the South Ozereevka region near Novorossiysk, where it is loaded onto tankers for global distribution.
The CPC pipeline is responsible for transporting up to 80% of Kazakhstan’s oil exports.
On January 13, the Matilda tanker, chartered by Kazakhstan’s Kazmortransflot, was hit twice by drones while waiting to load oil near the CPC terminal in the Black Sea.
The vessel sustained damage to its deck but remained seaworthy and has since departed the area.
Another tanker, Delta Harmony, also suffered damage during the attack, which resulted in a brief fire that was quickly extinguished. No injuries or marine pollution occurred.
Following the incident, insurers increased war-risk insurance premiums for ships in the Black Sea, indicating heightened security concerns for energy logistics in the region.

Suspected drones cause disruption at Heathrow airport with flights delayed
Wednesday 14 January 2026 12:00 EST
Flights at Heathrow airport, the busiest in Europe, have been disrupted by an apparent drone sighting.
At least one arriving flight, on Swiss from Zurich, has diverted to Gatwick according to Flightradar24 data. Flight LX324 held for almost half-an-hour before the pilots decided to divert to the Sussex airport.
A user named Josh posted on X (formerly Twitter): “I’m on the flight that’s been diverted to Gatwick. Apparently some moron decided it was a good day to fly his drone over Heathrow.”
A Heathrow spokesperson said: “Flights are continuing as normal after a brief pause to operations, following a suspected drone sighting. We will monitor the situation and work with the police and airline partners to ensure the airport remains safe to operate.”
Passengers have told The Independent via social media that their outbound planes are being delayed by an unauthorised “UAV” (unmanned aerial vehicle).
Padraig Belton posted on X: “My BA 1454 is delayed after a drone was sighted over the Heathrow departures runway.
“I could’ve finished that lounge champagne if I’d known….”
Iain Corby wrote: “Hello from my BA flight to the States similarly stuck! Our pilot’s offering kids tours of the cockpit – not a great sign!”
In recent months suspected drone activity has temporarily halted flights at a number of European airports, including Vilnius and Brussels.
In December 2018, around 1,000 flights were grounded at London Gatwick after repeated reports of a drone being flown near the runway.

1st Missouri UFO Report of 2026 Saw Color-Changing Lights
January 14, 2026
We're still early in 2026, but already there's a UFO report that involves color-changing lights that appear and disappeared in the sky over Missouri.
It's worth noting that this brand new report comes from an individual who has a background in the aviation industry and has seen just about every type of aircraft imaginable.
This new eyewitness account on the National UFO Reporting Center site is an odd one. According to the description, it happened the night of January 4, 2026 just after 8:30pm near Belle, Missouri. The eyewitness said this in his report:
"Four different colored lights, appearing and disappearing in a small area of sky. Sometimes showing up large/ bright before vanishing…The entire time I watched, the three different colored lights would appear, fly in all different directions, even sometimes heading east to the point I could see them getting closer, before vanishing, while the fourth continued slowly moving around in it's own small area."
The person goes on to add that they had not been consuming alcohol or any types of drugs. They said they have a background in the aviation industry and understand what a normal plane or drone looks like.
They also mentioned that these lights made a sound at times. When I see reports like this, the first thing I check are nearby airports or military bases. If you're not familiar with Belle, Missouri, it's more than 2 hours to the east of Whiteman Air Force Base.
The location of this report is also more than an hour to the northeast of Fort Leonard Wood, too.
The final note on the report added that they've seen weird lights over Belle, Missouri before, but not in this part of the sky.
By definition, this is the first confirmed UFO report for 2026 since there's no explanation yet as to what this person witnessed.

Vermont Lawmaker Proposes Establishing a UFO Panel
January 13, 2026
What’s that mysterious object flying over Vermont?
If a Burlington legislator’s bill becomes law, a 10-member panel will investigate whenever something unidentified appears in the skies.
Rep. Troy Headrick (I-Burlington) introduced a bill this week that would set up the Vermont Airspace Safety and Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena Task Force.
The group would review reports of sightings of unexplained objects. It would be able to make recommendations to manage risks to the public or Vermont airspace.
The panel would look into reports of unknown objects in the air or waterways, including any that might exhibit “performance characteristics not consistent with currently understood technologies.”
These include “instantaneous acceleration absent observable inertia or hypersonic velocity without a corresponding thermal signature or sonic boom,” according to the bill.
Headrick said Tuesday that he introduced the legislation on behalf of a constituent, lobbyist Maggie Lenz.
He said he at times does so whether he supports the bill or not, because lawmakers should help constituents get issues they care about before the legislature. He said he was not yet prepared to speak to or support the bill.
Lenz , owner of Atlas Government Affairs, said she’s been fascinated by the issue, especially since a rash of reports in 2024 of objects over the skies of New Jersey. Most were drones or low-flying aircraft.
Those reports — and the government’s inability to provide credible information about them — cause Lenz to think a Vermont reporting and review system makes sense.
“I’m certain not saying that it’s aliens,” Lenz said Tuesday. “But I do think just having the conversation here in Vermont will begin to allow for it to be taken a little bit more seriously.”
The effort would mirror steps taken by the federal government to explore sightings of UFOs, more commonly referred to in the scientific communities as UAPs, or unidentified anomalous phenomena.
There’s an All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office within the U.S. Department of Defense, and in 2023 Congress passed the Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena Disclosure Act to standardize federal investigations of sightings.
The draft bill says Vermonters have reported sightings to police. The reports underscore the need for a coordinated response, the bill says.
In late 2024, Vermont media outlets reported residents said they saw unexplained lights in the night sky above their homes, including in East Montpelier.
Members of the task force would include the following members or someone designated by them: the the commissioner of public safety, the secretary of transportation; one member each appointed by the the House of Representatives and Senate; a representative of the Vermont National Guard; a representative of the Vermont Bureau of Criminal Investigation; a representative of the Vermont airport system or general aviation operations; an academic expert in aerospace or atmospheric science; an independent expert in radar or sensor systems; and a representative of the Vermont Intelligence Center.
The task force would have technical assistance from the Scientific Coalition for UAP Studies, which bills itself as a “think tank of scientists, former military and law enforcement officials and other professionals” committed to scientific analysis of sightings.
Lenz said she shared the bill with the nonprofit organization, which is not paying her for her work, and it was supportive.
The bill will be introduced in the House Government Operations Committee on Friday.
Its chair, Rep. Matt Birong (D-Vergennes), said he wants to better understand the goals behind the bill before deciding whether to give the idea further consideration.
People clearly have concerns about flying objects such as drones, especially when they spot them near their properties and don’t know who is piloting them.
“There have been lots of news stories about objects that are not necessarily extraterrestrial, but are still unknown,” Birong said.

Cloud Resembling Flaming UFO Illuminates Livermore Skies
Tue, Jan 13, 2026 at 4:40 pm PT
LIVERMORE, CA — Livermore residents may have thought they were on the verge of an alien invasion when what looked like a flaming UFO hit the skies a few days ago.
But nope, it wasn't a burning mothership - it was a lenticular cloud at sunset. Lenticular clouds, also known as altocumulus lenticularis, are lens-shaped clouds that form when stable, moist air flows over a mountain or hill.
The air gets pushed up, cools down, and condenses into a cloud. At least we hope this is what it was.
A big thank you to Glenn Stewart for sharing this jaw-dropping photo with Patch.

Scott Cooper to Direct Roswell/UFO Movie for 20th Century
January 14, 2026
With multiple “whistleblower” accounts hitting headlines over the past few years, Hollywood has greenlit yet another UFO movie — or, as it’s recently been rebranded in the mainstream, UAP (Unidentified Aerial Phenomena).
As upcoming projects from Joseph Kosinski, Steven Spielberg and Colin Trevorrow take shape — not to mention last year’s buzzy doc “The Age of Disclosure” — it’s now Scott Cooper’s turn to ask if the truth is out there, and he’s decided to tackle one of the earliest and most famous stories concerning this subject.
Cooper is teaming up with 20th Century to write and direct a film based on the famous 1947 Roswell, New Mexico, conspiracy.
That’s when a rancher supposedly found debris scattered around his property, and the government closed ranks as conspiracy theories took flight about a possible UFO event.
To make matters more conspiratorial, the U.S. Army Air Forces initially issued — and then quickly retracted — a press release claiming they had recovered a “flying disc,” later saying it was a weather balloon.
Despite its place in pop-culture lore, the Roswell incident has never actually been turned into a theatrical feature film. It’s been explored on television and in a made-for-TV movie, but Hollywood has never brought a direct adaptation to cinemas.
The closest we’ve come to a feature inspired by Roswell is “Hangar 18” (1980), a thinly fictionalized take on the crash and the alleged government cover-up, even if it never names Roswell outright.
It sounds like Cooper is still figuring out what his actual next film will be — maybe it is, in fact, “Roswell,” or it could be “Commanche,” an Eric Roth script that Michael Mann was originally set to direct before personally bestowing directing duties on Cooper.
Cooper is coming off this past year’s “Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere,” which has seen its Oscar hopes deflate in recent weeks.
His other directing credits include “Crazy Heart,” “Black Mass,” “Hostiles,” “Out of the Furnace,” and “The Pale Blue Eye.”
Not a fan of Cooper — a decent filmmaker, but nothing more than that. I can’t say I’ve ever deeply connected with any of his films, which are just not that visually interesting to me, and his storytelling abilities fairly standard.

James Fox Hunts REAL Alien Footage From a UFO Crash! WEAPONIZED : EPISODE #105
January 13, 2026
James Fox is a dog with a bone, as obsessed as Captain Ahab’s in his pursuit of Moby Dick, as dogged as Indiana Jones’s quest for the Holy Grail.
Fox, one of the best-known documentary filmmakers to ever focus on the UFO mystery, has spent 14 long years investigating an astounding series of events often referred to as ‘the Brazilian Roswell.’
Fox's 2022 film “Moment of Contact” revealed powerful testimony from an impressive array of independent witnesses in and around Varginha, Brazil, some of whom saw the craft, the crash, the large deployment of military personnel, and the capture of at least one of the injured crew members who fled from the disabled UFO.
The being was described as a bizarre, oily-skinned, nonhuman entity, one that seemed intelligent, injured, and frightened. In the years since the release of that film, Fox has returned to Brazil multiple times to seek out the rumored medical team which met, treated, and communicated with the alien life form. Now, he is unveiling the rest of the story.
In this episode of Weaponized, James Fox shares with Jeremy and George the story of how he tracked down the key witnesses who have previously been too frightened to say anything, why they were intimidated and by whom, and details about a wide-ranging cover-up that is still active nearly 30 years after the original events.
A new, updated version of his film has now been released, and a major media event is being staged just days from now.
On January 20, at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., Fox will introduce several of the firsthand witnesses. Getting them into the US proved to be difficult and Fox says his pursuit of a videotaped recording of the creature also drew the attention of unknown saboteurs.
Fox also revealed to Weaponized a secondary objective of the January news conference. He wants the US military and intelligence community to tell Congress what became of the creature, and any other evidence related to non-human beings that may have been recovered from documented UFO crashes in the US and elsewhere.
(The public is invited to attend the event and media personnel will be permitted to livestream the entire event.)
The Varginha UFO crash is one of the seminal events in history. The mystery surrounding what became of the injured crew member has the potential to blow the lid off of an 80-year cover-up that is still underway.

Largest crowd-sourced hunt for alien intelligence reveals 12 billion 'signals of interest' in collapsed Arecibo Observatory data
January 13, 2026
One of the largest searches for alien intelligence in history is nearing completion, thanks to the help of more than 2 million citizen scientists and the legendary Arecibo Observatory.
Launched in 1999, the SETI@Home project enlisted millions of volunteers around the world to help identify unusual radio signals in data from the Arecibo Observatory — a massive radio telescope in Puerto Rico that collapsed in 2020 due to a cable failure.
Though the project ended prematurely with the telescope's demise, citizen scientists nonetheless identified more than 12 billion signals of interest in 21 years of data.
Now, the researchers behind the project have narrowed that daunting list down to the top 100 candidate signals, which they are studying in detail with China's Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical Telescope (FAST) — now the world's largest single-dish radio telescope, following the death of Arecibo.
So far, there is no smoking-gun evidence of alien transmissions from any of these radio sources. However, the team is enthusiastic that their vast dataset will help make future hunts for extraterrestrials even more effective.
"If we don't find ET, what we can say is that we established a new sensitivity level. If there were a signal above a certain power, we would have found it," computer scientist and project co-founder David Anderson said in a statement.
"We have a long list of things that we would have done differently and that future sky survey projects should do differently."
ET enters the group chat
The search for extraterrestrial intelligence (SETI) is a branch of science that aims to detect and communicate with advanced alien civilizations using radio signals — the idea being that, if humans have made it this far technologically, hypothetical alien lifeforms might have too.
The Arecibo telescope was a star player in the SETI field; in 1974, a team of scientists including Carl Sagan and Frank Drake sent a radio transmission from Arecibo to a nearby star cluster in hopes of reaching an intelligence audience.
The famous "Arecibo Message," transmitted in binary code, included a human stick figure, a double-helix DNA structure, a model of a carbon atom and a diagram of a telescope. (Sadly, E.T. has yet to phone home about it.)
One big challenge for SETI is that space is overflowing with radio waves; everything from cold hydrogen molecules to exploding stars emits some form of radio energy.
Finding a meaningful detection of radio signals from intelligent aliens among all this cosmic noise borders on the impossible.
1/2
To help narrow the search, the co-founders of SETI@Home turned to crowd sourcing. The team asked volunteers to download a free software program to their home computers, borrowing each computer's processing power to analyze Arecibo's latest scans of the night sky.
Starting in the mid-1990s, the team planned their project with 50,000 volunteers in mind. But within a year of the project starting, more than 2 million users in 100 countries were running SETI@Home on their computers.
"It went way, way, way beyond our initial expectations," Anderson said. "I would like to let that community and the world know that we actually did some science."
Expanding the search
In two papers published in 2025 in The Astronomical Journal, Anderson and his colleagues describe the vast dataset their contributors collected, and how the team analyzed it for the top candidate signals.
The project focused on radio signals coming from the Milky Way near the radio wavelength of 21 centimeters, which is the wavelength used to map hydrogen gas in the galaxy.
Astronomers routinely observe the universe at this frequency; a hypothetical alien civilization would know that, and make use of that frequency to boost their chances of being detected, the researchers explained.
Using a supercomputer provided by the Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics in Germany, the team eliminated billions of false signals and Earth-based sources of radio interference, dropping the candidate pool down to a million.
The team then analyzed the most promising 1,000 radio sources manually, whittling them down to the top 100 contenders.
So far, nothing unusual has jumped out of the results.
"We are, without doubt, the most sensitive narrow-band search of large portions of the sky, so we had the best chance of finding something," astronomer and SETI@Home project director Eric Korpela said in the statement.
"So yeah, there's a little disappointment that we didn't see anything."
However, what is computationally possible today far outpaces what was possible in 1999, when the project began, Korpela added.
Similar surveys are being conducted by FAST and other radio telescopes around the world; the hunt for alien intelligence will continue, and the data analysis will only get faster and more reliable going forward.
"There's still the potential that ET is in that data and we missed it just by a hair," Korpela concluded.

They Warned the World Before Anyone Knew | David Icke & Cathy O'Brien
Jan 11, 2026
For decades, David Icke and Cathy O'Brien were mocked, censored, and dismissed.
Today, their warnings no longer sound “crazy” — they sound early.
In this explosive conversation, they break down:
How psychological control is engineered at scale
Why media, fear, and distraction are deliberate tools
What governments knew long before the public did
And why the truth always comes out — eventually
They didn’t predict the future. They recognized the pattern.
⚠️ This episode is not for passive viewers. It’s for those who can see what’s unfolding in real time.

ASA-Supported Legislation Makes New Jersey First State to Fund UAP Research Center
Jan 13, 2026
Governor Murphy Signs Historic Aviation Safety Legislation
On January 12, 2026, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy signed Assembly Bill 5712, making New Jersey the first state to establish dedicated funding for university-based UAP research.
The legislation appropriates $3.5 million across two aviation safety programs, which is in addition to $2 million already appropriated for these programs in the FY2026 budget.
Two Programs, One Goal: Aviation Safety
UAP Research Center ($2.5 million annually): The aviation education grant program enables New Jersey public universities to apply for funding to establish a Center for the Study of Unidentified Aerial Phenomena.
The bill appropriates $2.5 million to be awarded on an annual basis, which is in addition to $1 million already appropriated in the FY2026 budget.
A prerequisite for any institution applying is participation in (or planned participation in) the federal Unmanned Aircraft Systems Collegiate Training Initiative.
The Secretary of Higher Education must make grant applications available within 120 days of the law's effective date. If the full appropriation is not spent in the first year, residual funds carry over to subsequent fiscal years until exhausted.
Air Traffic Controller Loan Redemption Program ($1 million): The program provides up to $100,000 in student loan forgiveness over four years for eligible air traffic controllers who are New Jersey residents and commence employment with the FAA following the law's effective date.
The bill appropriates $1 million, in addition to $1 million already appropriated in the FY2026 budget. The fiscal estimate projects the first cohort could accommodate 18-20 air traffic controllers.
Approved sites include airports within the state or operated by multi-state agencies serving New Jersey, as well as Terminal Radar Approach Control (TRACON), Air Route Control Centers, and similar FAA facilities serving these airports.
The program addresses the national shortage of air traffic controllers. If the full appropriation is not spent in the first year, residual funds carry over to subsequent fiscal years until exhausted.
Why ASA Supported This Legislation
Americans for Safe Aerospace submitted formal support for S.4432/A.5712 in November 2025.
ASA Executive Director Ryan Graves, a former F-18 pilot with a decade of U.S. Navy service, testified:
"I experienced the puzzling reality of advanced UAP firsthand and submit this letter to voice the concerns of countless commercial aircrew and military veterans who have confided in their similar encounters."
Graves emphasized that the absence of coordinated research infrastructure "hampers the U.S. ability to effectively analyze and address potential threats posed by these phenomena," and noted: "I recognize the skepticism surrounding this subject.
If everyone could see the sensor and video data I've witnessed, our national conversation may very well change overnight."
1/2
The greatest obstacle to UAP research progress has been professional stigma.
University-based research legitimizes UAP study as credible scientific inquiry, creating pathways for civilian pilots and aviation professionals to report observations without fear of career consequences.
Unlike federal programs operating within classification systems, state research can publish findings openly.

New Jersey Universities: Apply for These Grants
New Jersey public universities can apply for grants to establish a UAP research center, but must participate in (or have planned participation in) the federal Unmanned Aircraft Systems Collegiate Training Initiative as a prerequisite for eligibility.
The Secretary of Higher Education will give preference to institutions in counties of the first class (New Jersey's most populous counties, including Bergen, Essex, Hudson, and Middlesex) and must make grant applications available within 120 days of the law's effective date.
Americans for Safe Aerospace is committed to ensuring successful implementation of this historic legislation.
ASA is prepared to engage with New Jersey universities to identify institutions positioned to establish the UAP research center and is available to coordinate with the bill's sponsors and support universities preparing grant applications.
ASA can provide comprehensive support to institutions establishing UAP research centers, including technical consultation on UAP research methodologies, connections to aviation professionals and researchers, access to UAP report data, and guidance on research infrastructure development.
Universities interested in partnering with ASA on their grant applications should contact Executive Director Ryan Graves at ryan@safeaerospace.org.
Other States: Replicate This Model
New Jersey proved state-funded UAP research is politically viable and fiscally reasonable. A network of state research centers would transform national UAP research capacity, distributed nodes with regional expertise, and public transparency.
States with strong aviation industries, major research universities, rural airspace, or coastal maritime environments can adapt this model to their circumstances. Each state that establishes a center makes the entire network more effective.
ASA commits to supporting state legislators pursuing similar legislation. We provide technical consultation, aviation professional testimony, state-specific UAP data analysis, model legislative language, and committee testimony support. Contact us at reports@safeaerospace.org.
What's Next
The New Jersey Secretary of Higher Education must publish grant applications within 120 days of the law's effective date.
Universities that develop strong applications demonstrating capacity to support UAP research will be positioned to become the nation's first state-funded UAP research center.
ASA will track implementation and provide updates as the process develops. For other states: the model exists, the funding level is proven, and the aviation safety rationale is clear. Your state can be next.
