Ran across this letter from the Department of the Treasury to Orrin Hatch re: Hussein's transfer of money from the US to Iran. What an unholy mess this thing is.

I guess I forgot to remember (or didn't know to begin with) that the payment was authorized by the DOJ on behalf of the Department of State. Worth a read - Basically, after the money was transferred through the NY FED (spit) there is no way to track it. Even better? It went to a bank in the Netherlands.
