Yup, more and more places are asking for tips, and on things that were never tipped on before, as well as raising the tip amounts drastically. I've seen50%as an option at a pickup restaurant. Tips used to be for people going above and beyond on service, and 15% was the standard rate.

 

Business owners need to pay their staff better, and stop asking the customers to help with their payroll. That's not what tipping is for.
