>no electronics

Anon has three. Two gassers, and one diesel.

The only thing the gas ones need to run is 12V to the distributor. The diesel just needs 12V to the fuel solenoid.

Having power to start them is nice, but not really necessary since they're all manual transmission and easy to bump start on a hill.

>a few years ago, got tired of screwing with points

Same here, but many years ago. Small block chevys always got HEI distributors.

Only had one of those distributors let me down, and that was in a semi-sentient car that absolutely LOVED to break down in front of auto parts stores.

>drive past NAPA

>heater hose blows

>look, there's an O-Reilly's

>fuel pump dies

>One time it came home to find another car in it's garage getting a new intake manifold, and the ignition switch refused to turn off.

Always broke down where anon could fix it, tho.

Was good car.

Anon particularly objects to seat belt laws, and especially cars that verbally assault you for going down to the end of your driveway without a mandatory restraint system.

All that shit just motivates anon to disable the alarm rather than submit to the demands of the safety police.
