I'll still play against GNU Chess with Stockfish as the engine. Used to be able to beat a computer at chess before I was 10-years-old. Now they kick my ass every game, but I still enjoy playing it. These days I do play a lot of Shogi with the Bonanza engine, actually won a few against that one. Stockfish is a juggernaut though.
Battlechess and Chessmaster 3000 were some of my favorite videogames to play as a teen, along with everu Infocom interactive fiction title. IF is probably my favorite video game genre, there's still putting out new ones for Infocom's Z-Machine to this day, other than turn-based strategy titles. SSI's strategy and RPG titles ate up a lot of time when I was young.
