Exclusive — FBI Arrests Surged Nearly 200 Percent in 2025

Arrests by agents from the FBI surged nearly 200 percent in 2025, statistics the bureau provided exclusively to Breitbart News show.
FBI director Kash Patel told Breitbart News that the remarkable increase in FBI arrests from former President Joe Biden’s last year in officeto President Donald Trump’s first year back in office is directly attributable to Trump’s tough-on-crime policies versus weakness from Democrats like Biden.
“These are the kind of numbers that truly show what law enforcement can do when leadership gives them support,” Patel said in a statement provided exclusively to Breitbart News along with the statistics.
“In just one year under President Trump, thisFBI has built historic partnerships all across the country and delivered nearly 200% more arrests at the federal level – taking down violent gangs, drug traffickingorganizations, organized crime networks, and more. That’s an astounding increase that can only be possible with a President who lets good cops be cops and an administration working every single day to make America safer.”
The FBI made 67,000 arrests in 2025—specifically from Jan. 20, 2025 to Jan. 20, 2026versus just 22,500 in 2024, or Jan. 20, 2024, to Jan. 20, 2025. That represents an increase of 197 percent.
The bureau also provided a chart to Breitbart News showing the astounding difference between the last year of Biden and first year back of Trump:
In addition to these top-line arrest numbers, the FBI also told Breitbart News=that this has coincided with a shocking 20 percent drop in the murder rate nationally—and that in Trump’s first year back the FBI has already caught five of the top 10 Most Wanted fugitives. Four of those were caught in 2025, and a fifth in early 2026.Trump’s FBI in one year has already caught more FBI Top Ten Most Wanted fugitives than Biden’s FBI did in his entire term. Biden’s FBI only caught four Top Ten Most Wanted fugitives during Biden’s entire term in office.
The FBI also says that this past year it has disrupted at least 1,800 gangs and criminal enterprises, a 210 percent increase over Biden’s last year, and that it has seized more than 2,000 kilos of fentanyl. That’s enough fentanyl to kill 130 million Americans, and it represents an increase of 31 percent in terms of the volume of seizure versus Biden’s last year in office.
Also, the FBI says that Nihilistic Violent Extremism arrests are up 490 percent and espionage arrests are also up a total of 35 percent.
The Bureau adds that more than 6,000 child victims have been located in the past year, an increase of 22 percent over Biden’s last year in office.
Much of the increased activity, theFBI says, was a result of what it describes as successful surges of resources like the efforts surrounding operation Summer Heat which saw more than 9,000 arrests last summer.

New York Times bestselling author and Breitbart News Senior Contributor Peter Schweizer details in his new book how the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is “using our openness and generosity against us” by sending thousands of future military pilots posing as civilians to the United States to learn how to fly.
Schweizer’s latest exposé, The Invisible Coup: How American Elites and Foreign Powers Use Immigration as a Weapon, delves into the little-known concern of Chinese pilots being sent to the U.S. for training with “virtually no oversight” before returning and serving in their own country’s military.
“The People’s Republic of China has a pilot problem,” the investigative journalist writes in The Invisible Coup. “Beijing needs five thousand pilot cadets every year to meet the demand for both military and civilian pilots. Because the Chinese military tightly controls the country’s airspace, it can domestically produce only about 1,200 pilots a year. So, Beijing quietly erected a system to train three thousand of them a year in the United States.”
=“Across the US, at least sixteen flight schools, operating out of taxpayer-funded airports, are training Chinese cadets—sometimes without disclosing their foreign military ties,” he continues. “They do so by sending future military pilots to the United Statesposing as civilians to learn how to fly.”
This also applies to Chinese helicopter pilots, who receive American training by the thousands after entering the country on student visas with “minimal scrutiny,” Schweizer writes.
“How this happened is atestament to Chinese ingenuity in manipulating our immigration system for subversive purposes and using our openness and generosity against us. It is also a tribute to American innocence, or at worst, ignorance.”
One of the several flight schools that the Civil AviationAdministration of China (CAAC) sends future military pilots to is Sierra Academy of Aeronautics in Atwater, California— where most of the students are Chinese nationals.
Schweizer argues thatthis is not by mistake, but rather by design.
Sierra Academy’s owner, John Yoon, has several related companies with “extensive Chinese ties,” Schweizer reports, adding that Sierra Academy has developed plans to create a cargo facility at California’s Castle Airport to fly goods in and out of China — and were “hoping to use EB-5 money from China to do it.”
“Because Sierra Academy has been working with the Chinese government, institutions, airlines—we have all the right contacts to put this program in place,” explained Brian Johnson, Sierra’s vice president and chief flight instructor in a 2013 interview with the Merced Sun-Star.
They are “selling both aviation training and US residency—a double win for Beijing,”
Schweizer points out.

The FCC on Wednesday issued guidance to ensure thatprogramming on broadcast television must complywith political equal opportunities requirements and =end what one expert referred to as “DNC TV,==” Breitbart News has learned exclusively.
Decades agoCongress put protections in place through the Communications Act of 1934to ensure that broadcast television ensures equal access to legally qualified candidates for office regardless of political affiliation. Under Section 315 of the Communications Act,if a broadcast station permits any legally qualified candidatesto use its facilities, thenit shall provide equal opportunity to all other legally qualified candidates for that office.
Congress in 1959 adopted limited exceptionsto the equal opportunities requirements by amending Section 315 to exempt the equal opportunities requirement by a legally qualified requirement for any bona fide newscast, bona fide news interview, bona fide news documentary, or on-the-stop coverage of bona fidenews events.
The FCC Media Bureau guidance noted thatCongress amended Section 315to reflect concern that broadcast stationswould too broadly apply the exemptions in service of a political agenda.
“Indeed, the FCC has specifically noted that certain programs thatmight otherwise be exempt would be excluded from an exemption category if the program was ‘designed for the specific advantage of a candidate,'” the guidance stated. It continued:
The federal equal opportunities regulations operate to prevent broadcast television stations, which havebeen given access to a valuable public resource(namely, spectrum),from unfairly putting their thumbs on the scale for one political candidate or set of candidates over another. These regulations, which do not apply to cable channels or other forms of distribution, represent, in codified form the decision by Congress thatbroadcast television stations have an obligation to operate in the public interest— not in any narrow partisan, political interest. [Emphasis added.]
NBC gave President Donald Trump free commercial time in November 2024 during a NASCAR race after former Vice President Kamala Harris appeared on Saturday Night Live for one minute and 30 seconds.
Then-Commissioner Carr said at the time thatthis was a “clear and blatant effort to evade the FCC’s Equal Time rule.”
He wrote, “The purpose of the rule is to avoid exactly this type of biased and partisan conduct— a licensed broadcaster using the public airwaves to exert its influence for one candidate on the eve of an election. Unless the broadcasteroffered Equal Time to other qualifying campaigns.”
The equal political opportunities exemption changed in 2006when the FCC determined the interview portion of The Tonight Show with Jay Leo qualified as a bona fide news interview. This was the first time that the exemption applied to a late-night talk show, which primarily offers entertainment, not news coverage.This decision runs counter to a 1960 precedentwhen the Commission decided that the Jack Paar program, also referred to as the Tonight Show, was not deemed to have bona fide news interviews.

The FCC emphasized in its guidance that thebroadcast television industry has taken the 2006 staff-level decision to mean that virtually all similar entertainment programs, including daytime or late night,are exempted from equal opportunities requirementunder the bona fide news exemption.
“Importantly, the FCC has not been presented with any evidencethat the interview portion of any late night or daytimetelevision talk show program on air presently would qualify for the bona fide news exemption,” the FCC Media Bureau guidance wrote.
Daniel Suhr, the president of the Center for American Rights (CAR), praised FCC Chairman Brendan Carr’s guidance in an interview with Breitbart News.
“We’re thrilled that Chairman Carr is taking anotherimportant step on behalf of viewers to ensure better broadcasting and the end of left-wing biason the part of the networks. __I think we all know that daytime and latenight talk shows have really just become DNC TV,__he said.
“As the President rightly saysthey are just arms of the Democratic Partyat this point. I think you need to look no further than the Media Research Center statistics that show you know, 99 percent of guests are liberal and left wing.One hundred percent of politicians are Democrats on, you know, [Stephen] Colbert or [Jimmy] Kimmel or The View, and… none of that is in the public interest.”
“The fundamental premise of the FCCs and really Congress’s policy in this area is that that we need equal access and that theairwaves should not be twisted into a propaganda machine for just one party,” he added.
The View enflamed controversy recently after an actress tearfully claimed that her mother had shielded her eyes from allegedly seeing a lynching victim “hanging from a tree” when she was a child living in Columbus, Ohio. As Breitbart News reported,according to America’s Black Holocaust Museum, there has never been a lynching in Columbus.
The Media Research Center (MRC) found thatThe View often has to issue “legal notes” when they would accuse someone of a crime or controversial statements or practices. Some controversial claims on The Viewinclude:
• Claiming that Ginni Thomas, the wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, was at the head of the protests at the Capitol on January 6, 2021.

The MRC in lateDecember found that late night comedy shows went six months with 99 percent leftist guests, the same as the first six months of the past year, and the last six months of 2024. Guests included former first lady Michelle Obama, former Vice President Kamala Harris, Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ). These shows include ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live!, NBC’s Late Night with Seth Meyers and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, CBS’s The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and Comedy Central’s The Daily Show.
CAR last September filed a complaint against late night television host JimmyKimmel, saying that his jokes overwhelmingly attack the Republican Party over Democrats, he “lopsidedly” hosts Democrat politicians, and that his donations to Democrats represent a financial conflict of interest under FCC policy.
Suhr remarked, “This FCC decisionmeans Hollywood hosts and network executives can no longer feature Democrat candidates while shutting out Republicans.”
The CAR president described the yearssince the 2006 staff-level as an “abdication” of the FCC’s responsibility to enforce the public interest ruleand said that Carr is “rightly taking up the responsibility Congress has given the Commission and is starting to enforce the law again in a meaningful way.”
Carr moved to revive the enforcement of the public interest rule after Jimmy Kimmel falsely said that Charlie Kirk’s assassin may have been part of “MAGA.”
“When you have a broadcast license, there’s a public interest standard, which means you have to operateconsistentlywith the public interest, and one of the things that the FCC has in our case law and our precedent is this concept of a news distortion complaint==,” Carr said last September.

Side note:I don’t want to hear anymore of this shit about how CBS has changed. As I said from the beginning, we’ll know if CBS has reformed if CBS dares to challenge the narrative about stories that actually matter. So I hope this settles that.
The Media Research Center “pored through every report about the situation in Minneapolis which aired on ABC’s World News Tonight, CBS Evening News, and NBC Nightly News, from January 7 through January 17, 2026,” reports Newsbusters. “We found a total of 121 minutes and 26 seconds of coverage devoted to the topic, of which a whopping 93 percent was negative toward federal immigration officials.”
That’s a fatwa.
In 1989, a “fatwa” was issued against author Salman Rushdieby Grand Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, Iran’s then-“supreme leader,” and the fatwa was a call for all Muslims to murder him.

Farage’s Reform UK Wins Right to Legally Challenge Cancelled Local Council Elections

Nigel Farage’s Reform UK partywill legally challenge attempts by the governing left-wing Labour Party to cancel local elections this Mayin an apparent bid to stymie the rising populist party.
Nearly four million voters are facing the prospect of having their voices stifledthis year, as 28 local councils have applied to delay elections scheduled for May.
The councils have argued thatthey do not have time to hold elections this year, as they are in the process of restructuring how council governments operate. However,opposition parties have accused the councils of using the planned restructurings as an excuse to hang on to power.
Indeed, a JL Partners=survey last week found that Nigel Farage’s Reform UK party would have won 20 councils, including ten controlled by the governing Labour Party. Overall, theleft-wing party has applied to delay elections in 22 councils, according to The Telegraph.
The upstart party was given some hope on Tuesday, with High Court judge Justice Chamberlain ruling that afull hearing on the matter was warrantedand that one will be held next month between February 19 and 20.
In comments provided to Breitbart London, a Reform UK spokesman said: “We said we would fight Labour every step of the way on this and we are doing so.Labour are disgracefully trying to deny democracy. We are determined to win this case next month.”
Reform MP Sarah Pochin said that thepostponement of votes of 3.7 million people would represent an “unprecedented and deeply worrying assaulton our democracy that should alarm anyone who believes in free and fair elections.”
The Runcorn & Helsby lawmaker also cited previous commitments from government ministers to “crack on” with the council elections this year,quipping that it therefore represented yet another “U-turn” from Labour.
Head of policy for Reform, Zia Yusuf, added: “Reform will defend democracy against this authoritarian government and its Tory enablers.Let the people vote.”
Such arguments have apparently convinced the Speaker of the House of Commons, Sir Lindsay Hoyle, who reportedly said in a letter leaked to ITV that while he understands the argumentsfor postponing elections, he does “not believe in cancelling elections and personally believe[s] that the local elections on May 2026 should take place.”
Regardless, the local elections — complete or not — are set to be a major litmus test for Prime Minsiter Sir Keir Starmer, whose approval rating has cratered since winning a strong majority in the 2024 general election.Should the party suffer heavy defeats in May, there could be leadership challenges against the PM as the party prepares to face Brexit boss Nigel Farage at the 2029 general election.

Earlier this week, Cameron Kasky, a contributor for CNN (a basement-rated, far-left propaganda outlet that spreads conspiracy theories and encourages political violence) said this about President Trump: “I would love it if he were more transparent about the human sex-trafficking network that he was a part of, but you can’t win them all.”
Wait, it gets better…
CNN anchor John Berman (D-Liar) responds with this: “Cameron is grateful that the president is being transparent about the Nobel Peace Prize and his desire to [something something]. What do you think about that?”
Yes, the far-left activist John Berman let that lie stand!
John Berman knows Kasky just launched a flat-out smear and Berman didn’t even bother to say, Whoa, whoa, there’s no evidence of that.
Thankfully, as much as Berman wanted that defamation to stand, CNN contributor Scott Jennings was having none of it…
“You gonna let that sit?” asked Jennings. “We gonna claim here on CNN that the president is part of a global sex-trafficking ring, or…?”
Serial liar Berman responds by going all big shot: “I will do the fact-checking as we go along here,” he harrumphs.
Then Berman asks Kasky to repeat the defamation, and after Kasky proudly does, Berman again glosses it over with, “We’ll get to that later. Donald Trump has never been charged with any crimes in relation to Jeffrey Epstein.”
Brother … This is CNN:
Well, now that the dust has settled, and even though Kasky repeated his defamation after being given a chance to backtrack, after likely getting a whiff of his legal liability, Kasky attempted to retract his smear.
But.
Kasky wants us to believe that even though he repeated that lie on CNN, “I said that by accident and didn’t mean it.”
It’s crazy, and more proof that any clown willing to trash Trump is allowed on CNN. CNN’s vetting process for Trump haters is so broken, they allow some dummy who opens himself and CNN up to a defamation suit, and then the dummy thinks he can get away with claiming he said something “by accident” and “didn’t mean” when he said it TWICE.
What’s more, CNN is so broken, so corrupt, so dishonest, so dedicated to disinformation, a so-called anchor had to be shamed into “fact-checking” a deliberate lie and smear aimed at the President of the United States.

Judge Grants Russell Brand Bail as Two More Women Accuse Him of Rape and Sexual Assault
(UPI) — Two more women have accused actor Russell Brand of rape and sexual assault, and a judge in London on Tuesday granted Brand bail ahead of a Feb. 17 pretrial hearing.
Brand, 50, appeared remotely from his home in South Florida via video in the Westminster Magistrates’ Court in London, during which new charges were entered based on complaints filed by two women.
The additional charges accuse Brand of one count of rape and one count of sexual assault in 2009. The bail amount was not announced.
Those charges are in addition to two counts of rape, two counts of sexual assault and one count of indecent assault filed against Brand that are alleged by four women from 1999 to 2005.
Chief Magistrate Paul Goldspring told Brand that one of the charges against him only can be tried in a crown court and granted him an unannounced bail amount ahead of his scheduled pretrial hearing in London’s Southwark Crown Court on Feb. 17.
Tuesday’s hearing lasted about six minutes, during which Brand only acknowledged his name and date of birth.
The entertainer previously denied all allegations against him and said he only had consensual relations with his accusers and all other women.
He called the claims against him a “coordinated attack,” The Guardian reported.
One accuser said Brand raped her in 1999 while in southern England, and another said he “indecently assaulted” her in London in 2004.
A third accuser said Brand sexually assaulted and orally raped her in 2004, while a fourth victim accused him of sexual assault between 2004 and 2005.
Brand in May pleaded not guilty to those charges.
The actor and comedian was married to singer Katy Perry from October 2010 to December 2011 and has appeared in several films and television programs.
He is married to Laura Gallacher, who is the mother of Brand’s daughters, Peggy and Mabel.

New York Ends Crusade to Make Catholic Nuns Pay for Abortions

New York has finally ended its nearly decade-long campaign to force Catholic nuns and other religious ministries to fund abortions.
The Becket Fund for Religious Liberty announced on Tuesday that New York agreed to enter into a settlement with their clients after a lengthy court battle over a state abortion mandate that went to the Supreme Court twice. Plaintiffs in the case, Roman Catholic Diocese v. Harris, included a group of Catholic and Anglican nuns, Catholic dioceses, Christian churches, and faith-based social ministries.
“For nearly a decade, New York bureaucrats tried to strong-arm nuns into paying for abortionsbecause they serve all those in need,” said Lori Windham, senior counsel at Becket and an attorney for the religious groups. “At long last, the state has given up its disgraceful campaign. This victory confirms that the government cannot punish religious ministries for living out their faith by serving everyone.”
In 2017, New York issued a regulation mandating that employer health insurance plans cover killing unborn babies through abortions. While the regulation narrowly exempts certain religious organizations whose purpose is spreading their religious values, it does not exempt religious organizations with broader missions, like serving the poor, and those that employ or serve people who are not of the same faith or no faith at all. In response, the religious groups challenged the regulation.
The case went all the way up to the Supreme Court in 2021, with the high court ultimately ordering lower courts to reconsider the case. The case reached the Supreme Court again in June 2025, and justices again sided with the religious groups and ordered the lower courts to reconsider the case, citing their decision that month in favor of Catholic Charities Bureau. In that case, the Supreme Court ruled that Wisconsin had discriminated against the organization by denying tax-exempt status and violated the First Amendment’s protection of religion.
Becket said the settlement officially brings the New York case to a close.
“The Supreme Court has made it abundantly clear that religious groups shouldn’t be bullied for staying true to their faith,” Windham added. “We are glad that New York finally agreed to settle this case and protect religious objectors from discrimination.”
