20h After a year of job searching I finally picked up a job at a state government agency. I found out this was only the case because they literally could not keep people because the job sucked. Newhires would quit within a month. Over the next year, I applied for over 500 jobs. I had 2 interviews. One ghosted me after the second interview and the second was a part time gig doing finances for a hotel and was in another state. My wife had a steady job thankfully, and we moved across country to be with her family
so they can help with children. But at this point I've applied to over 700 jobs. Nothing. Zilch. It's been 2 years since 1 worked. Every job application says "we are committed to diversity and equity" and that translates to "White men need not apply." Federal jobs, state jobs, indeed, Linkedin,
company websites, word of mouth. I can't even get a job flipping burgers, I've tried. That or the company wants a 4 year degree with 10 years of experience for entry level, which just means they're hiring someone on an visa when they can't find any
candidates that meet the criteria. For a long time internalized this and believed I was just that bad. After reading the stores on here of many young men in exactly the same boat am but with degrees, figured out the explicit end goal of the civil rights act was always to shove White men like myself out of society. To shut off every means of work possible. I tried the crypto thing eventually, now it's brown coded. I tried drop shipping but that's ethically bad
