Nothing nefarious.. they opened in 2009 iirc, just a fun little concept when doughnuts were the thing. They had new and fun types in a cute atmosphere. The ppl working were more fringe but that area of Mpls was kind of a haven for the blue hair pierced who at the time weren’t a big deal. Moved away from that area though and had heard Uptown changed and more militant blm stuff, more sjw started creeping in. Fewer ppl from the suburbs went to that area due to that as well as lack of parking, so the area just kind of devolved into an enclave of angry ppl bent on far left ideas.

I was just echoing that previous post. However, the takeaway is the same. I honestly don’t think there’s a hidden meaning or message with this doughnut shop. Again, I left the cities in 2020 so take my input as it is. We stopped going to Mpls around 2016 as it was starting to get sketchy in the places we previously had been going to (uptown mainly).
