Parents Claimed ICE Tear-Gassed Their Kids and Raised $170,000 from Donations, But They Lied
Sean and Destiny Jackson, the parents of six young children, claimed that as they were on their way home from a basketball game, their vehicle was stopped due to a conflict between protesters and ICE and that their children were trapped inside. They claimed a canister of tear gas bomb was released by ICE underneath the vehicle that traumatized the children and harmed the youngest one. Destiny said she had to perform mouth-to-mouth resuscitation on their infant son. When Sean Jackson was asked if he was participating in the projects, he said, “I wasn’t, I wasn’t at all.”
Destiny Jackson’s GoFundMe page shows donations of $174, 937.
However, video shows Destiny Jackson chillin’ with other protesters 45 minutes before their 911 call about the tear gas.
