There's some serious irony that the powers that be tried to label Trump as Hitler, but were unable to explain why because they brainwashed the population so well.
Unless the elections are controlled in some way that's probably going to happen. As hard as the positive spin has been in the news the reality is that most places haven't seen any real improvement to cost of living or wages yet. Unless that improves I would expect apathy for the midterm elections.
It dips to around 2.41 here on occasion but quickly goes back up. It's been around the same price since he took office. Diesel has been coming down though, which is more important.
And what reason did they give for that? Seems pretty peaceful. Even the protests are mostly peaceful.

I've seen more illegals around where I live than I ever had. I think they're being driven from the major cities to other areas.
