Attorney General Pam Bondi will sit before the House Judiciary Committee, where she is expected to testify on the Department of Justice’s handling of the Epstein files and other Department programs.

The hearing, titled “Oversight of the U.S. Department of Justice,” will “examine the mission and programs of the Department of Justice,” according to the committee.

President Trump signed the Epstein Files Transparency Act into law last November to release all files related to the Jeffrey Epstein investigation.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, the House overwhelmingly voted for the bill, with only one Republican defector, Rep. Clay Higgins (R-LA), voting against the bill, citing privacy concerns for victims of Epstein.

The DOJ has come under fire in recent weeks for not immediately releasing all of the unredacted files and faced accusations of hiding the names of powerful coconspirators.

Late last month, the DOJ released 3 million additional pages of Epstein files, many of which were heavily redacted.

Earlier this week, lawmakers were allowed to look at the unredacted files. Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) and Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) pressured the DOJ to unredact the names of six men, including one listed as an Epstein coconspirator.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, Ro Khanna read the names of the six men on the House Floor on Tuesday.

Bondi is expected to be grilled by Democrats and some Republicans on the DOJ’s handling of the files.

The Hearing is scheduled to begin at 10 am ET.

The murder conclusion follows a review of autopsy findings and crime scene materials by a team of independent forensic scientists, launched and financed by Nirvana fan Michelle Wilkins, the leader of the “Who Killed Kurt?” research group.

A plane attempting to return to Mogadishu’s airport carrying 55 people veered off the runway and had to make an emergency water landing on Tuesday.

The Starsky Aviation passenger aircraft had taken off from Aden Abdulle International Airport, bound for the northern city of Gaalkacyo, when it developed a technical problem about 15 minutes into the flight. The pilot attempted to return to Mogadishu for an emergency landing, but the aircraft overshot the runway and landed in the ocean, near the shore.

All 50 passengers and five crew members were able to evacuate the aircraft safely, and no injuries were reported, officials said.

Tumbler Ridge trans school shooter Jesse Strang was on SSRIs, felt suicidal over not getting cross-sex hormones

…Strang appeared to be active on Reddit, with one post from October 2023 bearing the title "I went crazy and burnt my house down my second time trying shrooms but still have a desire to try alternatives" in the subreddit "RationalPsychonaut."

In the post, user "jesseboy347" said that he had gotten "out of the psyche ward like a month ago" and has been diagnosed with ADHD, Major Depressive Disorder (MDD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and OCD. The post stated that on the second time trying psychedelic mushrooms, he "had a complete break from reality and did a lot of irrational things."

In another post in a subreddit dedicated to the drug DMT, he said that he was on the SSRI Sertraline 280mg, and on "rare" occasions took the antipsychotic drug Risperidone 2mg for sleep. He also said he smoked "a decent bit of weed" and "had a complete mental break on 3G of Panaeolus cyanescens shroomies." During the "shroomies" incident, he said he had been on 50mg of the SSRI Fluxotine "and Quetiapine unsure of dosage."

In an April 2024 post, he asked users of the subreddit "NoStupidQuestions," "could someone theoretically get the effects of a substance off an addicts urine," noting a song lyric indicating such a thing.

"Jesseboy347" also posted a video to the subreddit "transguns" with the title "I blew up their desert eagle." In the video, he is seen shooting a handgun at a gun range. He was wearing a sweatshirt that said on the back "World Massacre Tour" and included a rifle and locations such as "the Gulf War," "Angola" "Gaza Strip," and the words "to be continued" at the bottom.

In April 2023, Strang, then 15, expressed on Reddit feeling suicidal while awaiting cross-sex hormones. "I am noticing heavy changes in my appearance every month, by the time I’m actually able to visit. I may have severe damage from Testosterone changing my body. This is extremely stressful, the wait alone makes me want to die. The uncertainty not knowing how the HRT will even effect me, not knowing if I’ll ever be me," he wrote.

"But add onto it, the slow degradation of my body in front of my very eyes, awaiting this appointment. It really hurts, I am genuinely considering taking my own life. Is there any way, literally any way possible I can speed up this process? I’ve heard that a general practitioner in BC can technically prescribe HRT to a trans patient, but I don’t know."

Women's rights activist Amy Hamm, also based in BC, shared that she was in a private Facebook group with Strang's mother. Before the shooter was identified, Hamm posted that she believed that the woman had been killed by the shooter. "Two locals identified the shooter’s family and claimed a trans identified male son killed his mother and brother before going to the school and killing more victims," she wrote, noting that "This has NOT been confirmed by police." Maya was shot in the head and neck.

At least ten people were killed and upwards of 25 injured following a mass shooting in Tumbler Ridge, BC on Tuesday. Among the victims is 12-year-old Maya.

A GoFundMe has been launched to help her as she "fights for her life" in hospital.

It was started by Maya's aunt, Krysta, on Tuesday evening, and has since brought in over $40,000.

"Recovery timeline is unknown," Krysta wrote. "All we know is that Maya made it through transport from Tumbler Ridge to Vancouver Children's Hospital and currently in critical care."

"Im writting this post sitting in Vancouver children's hospital while my daughter fights for her life," Maya's mother, Cia Edmonds, wrote in a post on Facebook Tuesday night. "Today started as any other. now, however, my 12 year old daughter is fighting for her life while they try to repair the damage from a gun shot wound to the head. And one to the neck..She was a lucky one, I suppose. Condolences to the other families during this tragedy. This doesnt even feel real.

"I never thought I would be asking for prayers.. but please please, pray for my baby," she added.

The suspect, who was also found dead with what appeared to be "self-inflicted" wounds, has been identified by residents as 18-year-old Jesse Strang.

As it stands, this is the third deadliest shooting in Canadian history, with only the École Polytechnique massacre of 1989 and Nova Scotia shootings in 2020 resulting in more casualties.

A Bonnyville minor league baseball coach is facing multiple charges related to online child exploitation following an investigation by Alberta’s Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) unit.

Michel (Mitch) Michaud, 48, was arrested January 28, with assistance from Bonnyville RCMP.

He faces charges including possession, access and distribution of child sexual abuse material, as well as one count of bestiality.

Michaud, who coaches the Bonnyville Braves, was identified by ICE investigators in November 2025 after reports indicated child sexual abuse material had been uploaded and shared online.

Staff Sgt. Alison Church of ALERT ICE said the allegations are “upsetting” for the baseball community.

“At this time, there is no reason to believe that any players were involved with Mr. Michaud, but he was in a position of trust and authority. Our investigation remains ongoing,” she said.

Police seized several electronic devices, including a cell phone and a laptop, which are undergoing a full forensic examination.

Michaud has been released under court-ordered conditions, including a prohibition on seeking or maintaining any volunteer or employment role involving anyone under the age of 16.

He is scheduled to appear in Bonnyville court on February 24.

A $10,000 fine against a B.C. ostrich farm issued by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency claiming the farm owners violated a quarantine order has been tossed by the Canada Agricultural Review Tribunal.

Universal Ostrich Farms in Edgewood, B.C., made international headlines last year after the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) issued a cull order for around 400 ostriches at the farm, saying the birds needed to be killed because they carried a form of the H5N1 virus, which causes avian influenza, that had not been identified in Canada before and that was connected to a case of human infection in the United States.

The owners of the farm challenged the order all the way up to the Supreme Court, saying the birds had immunity, displayed no symptoms, and were important for scientific study, but were unsuccessful in having the order overturned. CFIA completed the cull in November 2025.

Canada Agricultural Review Tribunal member Patricia Farnese found in a Feb. 6 decision that a quarantine notice issued to the farm, which the farm owners were said to have violated, was not delivered according to policy. The Sûreté du Québec is assisting local police in the First Nation about 150 kilometres north of Ottawa

Three members of a family died in an alleged murder-suicide early Wednesday morning in Kitigan Zibi Algonquin First Nation, police say.

Two children, a 10-year-old girl and a 12-year-old boy, were shot by their father, who then took his own life, Kitigan Zibi police director Paul McDougall said.

Local police received a call from a relative at 2:04 a.m. Wednesday alerting them to the incident, he said.

Police found the father dead at the scene, McDougall said. The two children were taken to hospital, where they were pronounced dead.

“The Kitigan Zibi police responded first and then they asked for assistance from the Sûreté du Québec,” McDougall said. “We’re still notifying next of kin.”

The incident took place at a residence on Kichi Mikan St., Sûreté du Québec spokesperson Nancy Fournier said.

Kitigan Zibi is about 150 kilometres north of Ottawa.
