A nurse has sparked outrage after she allegedly called on protesters to resist ICE agents by injecting them with dangerous drugs.
In videos posted online, Malinda Rose Cook appeared to urge medical providers to fill syringes with saline or succinylcholine, a powerful anesthetic that paralyzes every muscle in the body within seconds, including those needed to breathe, and use them on federal officers.
In medicine, the substance is used briefly during surgery to insert breathing tubes, wearing off in five to ten minutes. It can be dangerous if used incorrectly or without proper medical supervision.
In one of her videos, which has since been deleted from TikTok, Cook said: ‘That will probably be a deterrent. Be safe.' She has since been suspended, her employer, Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) Health, said.
Cook also advised protesters to gather poison ivy, 'get it in some water… and put it into a water gun. Aim for faces, hands.’
She then sent a message to single women, asking them to get on dating apps to connect with ICE agents: ‘Bring some Ex-Lax and put it in their drinks. Get them sick, you know, nobody's gonna die. Fitting enough to incapacitate them, get them off the street for the next day.’
It comes amid rising anger over the fatal shooting of Alex Pretti by an ICE officer in Minneapolis on Saturday. Cook's videos have been removed from her TikTok page, however, a compilation of clips was reposted on X by a right-wing news account.
Libs of TikTok wrote: ‘Any comment @VCUHealth? How can you have such a vile person working with patients? How can anyone feel safe at your facilities if you employ such people?'
