G7 weakened itself with sanctions on Russia – Putin aide

The restrictions have backfired given that 85% of Russian transactions now bypass Western currencies, Maksim Oreshkin has said

Attempts by Western countries to pressure Russia through financial sanctions have contributed to the decline of G7 currencies, the deputy head of the presidential administration, Maksim Oreshkin, has said.

Speaking at the opening of Expert Dialogues in Moscow on Friday, Oreshkin said the sanctions have weakened the economic standing of the countries imposing them.

“By imposing sanctions, the countries of the Group of Seven sought to make international trade impossible for Russia and to inflict damage on the Russian economy. But all they have achieved is a significant increase in the share of national currencies in settlements,” he noted.

According to Oreshkin, by the end of 2025, 85% of all transactions involving Russia were carried out without Western currencies.

In December, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said the use of national currencies in settlements among Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) members had reached 93%.He noted that an agreement signed earlier in 2025 allows companies in the member countries to list their securities on any stock exchange within the union.

Oreshkin’s comments follow awarning from Germany’s financial regulator, the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority, that the dollar’s status as the world’s primary reserve currency could be challenged this year, with the currency at risk from funding shortages, geopolitical shocks, and politicization. (Exactly what Trump is trying to get rid of, the DS dollars)

The warning came after the dollar suffered its steepest one-day drop in nearly a year on Tuesday, marking its sharpest decline since April when US President Donald Trump rolled out his sweeping global tariff plan.

Traders are betting on further dollar weakness amid uncertainty over US policy, with pessimism at its highest since May 2025, Bloomberg reported this week.Trump dismissed concerns, saying the currency is “doing great” and should “seek its own level.”

A weaker dollar can boost exporters and multinational profits but could raise import costs, fuel inflation, and weaken its global reserve role. US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, however, defended Trump’s policies, saying they should eventually attract investment and support the greenback.

(I listened to a podcast yesterday where a Trump Patriot group explained why the dollar must be destroyed. I can almost say definitively that Trump and Putin are working to destroy the NWO. Remember Putin kicked out the bankers.)

Zelensky lashes out at West over missile shortages

(KEK ding dong the gay witch is dead)

The Ukrainian leader’s increasingly belligerent complaints have been getting more pushback from key European backers

Ukraine’s VladimirZelensky has blamed Western backers for critical military shortages, stating that air defense systems lacked missilesduring recent Russian strikes. His latest grievance follows a series of heated exchanges withEuropean leaders, who appear to be growing increasingly weary of his demands.

Speaking to Ukrainian media on Friday,Zelensky claimed Patriot and NASAMS air defense systems were unable to repel recent attacks, framing it as a failure of Western logistics and financing.

“I know there will be no light because there are no missiles for defense,” he was quoted as saying, complaining that he keeps having to push the West for additional deliveries.

Zelensky’s complaint continues a pattern of public friction with Western backers. Last week at the World Economic Forum in Davos, he went on a tirade, accusing Europe of weakness and indecisiveness, prompting sharp rebukes.

Hungarian Prime Minister ViktorOrban labeled Zelensky “a man in a desperate position” who is “unable or unwilling” to end the conflict. Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani called the Ukrainian leader’s remarks “unfair” and said he lacked gratitude for extensive European support.

Internally, Zelensky has also clashed with local authorities over struggling energy infrastructure. He recently accused Kiev Mayor Vitaly Klitschko of failing to prepare the city for widespread blackouts. Klitschko dismissed the criticism, stating Zelensky had refused to meet with him and that electricity generation is a federal responsibility, not a municipal one.

Russia has intensified its long-range strikes against Ukraine’s military and dual-use infrastructure in recent months, stating they come in response to the Ukrainian military’s continued attacks on Russia’s energy infrastructure and Kiev’s indiscriminate strikes on Russian civilians.

(Have you noticed how the Western news rarely ever mentions Zelenskyy’s name, and there’s very little European news focusing on the Ukraine war. Z is freakin out that Trump has more attention from the EU these days. The little tyrant has lost the power he never had. Guaranteed imho, NABU will announce Zelensky next to be prosecuted for crimes against his country and humanity. The UN may be involved. These are my guess’s, but it’s time to end the sham.)

Kiev residents told to use cat litter for toilets

A local official has warned of “dire hygienic conditions” as heating outages froze sewers and left homes without bathroom facilities

Residents of Kiev have been advised to use improvised toilets, including digging feces pits and using cat litter, after heating outages caused sewer systems to freeze across parts of the Ukrainian capital.

Speaking to RBK Ukraine on Wednesday, Maksim Bakhmatov, head of Kiev’s northeasternDesnyansky district, urged locals to stay in Kiev and “hold the line no matter what,” claiming that “the enemy wants us out.”

Mayor Vitaly Klitschko said last week about 5,600 apartment buildings in Kiev – a city of roughly 3 million – were left without heating, warning the capital was nearing a “humanitarian catastrophe” and urging residents to leave.

Bakhmatov said the area he oversees is among the worst affected, as freezing temperatures havecaused sewer systems to seize up, creating “dire hygienic conditions.”

“We have a catastrophic sewer situation… pipes are already bursting. There are several houses where everything is frozen… It’s a disaster,” he said. Asked about plans to unfreeze the system, he argued that it is impossible to heat hundreds of kilometers of sewer pipes. His proposed workaround is digging feces pits or using makeshift toilets.

“It’s unsightly, but a big pit that can be covered and used for a week until it thaws will work,” he said. “We must stay, dig holes and hold the line… use pits, plastic bags, cat litter – whatever.”

Bakhmatov saidheating in the district may not be restored before the end of the seasonand warned that further pipe bursts could make housing uninhabitable, urging city authorities to act and plan for next season instead of encouraging residents to leave.

Klitschko said around 600,000 residents have already fled Kiev and blamed Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky for failing to address the crisis. Zelensky in turn accused Klitschko of failing to prepare the city.

Ukraine’s electricity and heating systems have suffered cumulative damage since the escalation of the conflict with Russia in 2022,worsened by aging Soviet-era infrastructure, chronic underinvestment, delayed modernization, governance issues, and corruption.

Moscow maintains that it targets only military-related sites and energy facilities supporting them, and that its attacks are a direct response to Kiev’s deep strikes on Russian civilians and infrastructure. However, earlier on Friday, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Moscow has agreed to refrain from striking Kiev until February 1 to create “favorable conditions” for peace talks, scheduled in Abu Dhabi on that date.

(I hope NABU and the U.S. have found all the stolen money by Zelensky and friends. Zelensky is most likely making plans to leave the country soon to one of his palaces, that might be already seized by the U.S. and other countries. Zelensky should have fled two years ago. But his ego couldn’t believe that could happen to him.Z is totally and irrevocably fucked! Now he’ll have to answer to the people for Zelensky sending their families into a useless and unwinnable war. FAFO is not a good idea in Ukraine.)

Moscow slams UN chief’s ‘outrageous’ Crimea-Greenland double standard

Secretary-General Antonio Guterres claims that Ukraine’s “territorial integrity” prevails over the will of the people

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has said the principle of self-determination does not apply to the people of Crimea and Donbass, drawing sharp condemnation from Moscow. (This is why the UN will crumble, it was always a politically aligned group, that only punished those who needed their help.)

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov earlier this weekaccused the UN Secretariat of “playing into the hands” of Kiev and failing to act with impartiality, citing what he called glaringly different stances on self-determination for Crimea and Greenland.

Asked about this apparent double standard at a press conference on Thursday,Guterres saidthe body held “very interesting discussions” on the matter and concludedthat in Ukraine’s case, the “principle of territorial integrity” prevails over the will of the people.(either it exists for all or doesn’t exist for any country. Even a retard knows that!)

“After a very careful study by our Office of Legal Affairs, it is our position that the principle of self-determination does not apply in the situations of Crimea and Donbass,” Guterres said.

The Russian response was swift. Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called the UN chief’s position unacceptable, writing on Telegram: “The UN secretariat has come to all sorts of outrageous conclusions recently.”(meaning Putin will join the Board of Peace, and this is one example why the UN is being defunded by the U.S.)

The condemnation resonated within Russia’s political establishment. Sergey Mironov, leader of the A Just Russia party, said the stance “once again highlights the need for UN reform.” Leonid Slutsky, the head of the State Duma’s international affairs committee, warned that “segregation based on the principle of ‘exclusivity’ is an extremely dangerous precedent,” adding that “the UN Charter is not a menu for choice.” (Now it is!)

Earlier this month,a UN expert panel stated that the people of Greenland “are entitled to the full and free exercise of their right to self-determination, a core purpose of the United Nations.” While expressing support for Greenland’s territorial integrity as an autonomous part of Denmark, the panel notedthat “any change in the constitutional status must be grounded in the freely expressed will of the peoples of Greenland.”

Crimea voted to become part of Russia in a referendum in 2014, while the Donbass regions of Donetsk and Lugansk declared independence and voted to break away from Ukraine in the wake of the Western-backed coup in Kiev.

Under the now-defunct Minsk agreements, Kiev pledged to protect the status of the Russian language and grant both regions more autonomy. Instead, it backed an ethnic war in Donbass that, according to the International Crisis Group, left 14,000 people dead in eight years. After the conflict escalated in 2022, Donetsk and Lugansk, as well as the regions of Kherson and Zaporozhye, held referendums to join Russia.

Kiev and its Western backers insist that all five regions were “annexed,” refusing to recognize the will of the people.

Putin-Zelensky meeting would only be in Moscow – Kremlin(Zelensky assumes he can trick Russia)

The Russian president has agreed to meet the Ukrainian leader, according to his spokesman

Only Moscow is currently being discussed as a venue for a potential meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated on Thursday.

Russia has discussed a potential Putin-Zelensky summit on multiple occasions, including in phone conversations between Putin and US President Donald Trump, according to the Kremlin.

“We’re still talking about Moscow,” Peskov said in a press briefing. “Speculative discussions are inappropriate here.”

A day earlier, Putin’s top aide Yury Ushakov reaffirmed that a meeting could be arranged in the Russian capital.

“Our president has also said several times to journalists that if Zelensky is truly ready for a meeting, then we would be happy to invite him to Moscow,” he told the national broadcaster Russia 1. “And we will guarantee his safety and the necessary working conditions.”

The presidential aide stressed, however, that such a summit would need to be both carefully prepared and goal-oriented with the aim of signing concrete agreements.

The comments came a few days after the first direct trilateral talks between Russia, US and Ukraine in Abu Dhabi.

The negotiations have “made a lot of progress,” with a “lot of good things happening between the counterparties,”White House special envoy Steve Witkoff said in a cabinet meeting on Thursday.

The next round of trilateral talks is scheduled for Sunday, but Witkoff and Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner will not be attending, according to US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

The Ukrainian leader signed a decree banning negotiations with Putin in 2022, after four former Ukrainian regions overwhelmingly voted to join Russia in a series of referendums.

Moscow has repeatedly pointed out that despite voicing readiness to meet the Russian president,Zelensky has not yet repealed the ban.

Putin, Who Can Now Be Arrested In 125 Nations, Curtails Global Travel

ByKevin Holden.

Jul 05, 2025 at 10:01pm EDT

While Russian President Vladimir Putin had been planning to take a summertime jaunt to the seaside paradise of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to join the BRICS summit, he abruptly cancelled the trip due to complications sparked by his armed invasion of Ukraine, says Peter Dickinson, a pre-eminent scholar at theAtlantic Council, one of Washington’s foremost internationalist think tanks.

Putin abandoned the South American sojourn, a Kremlin aide confirmed, due to a warrant for the president’s arrest issued by the International Criminal Court that Brazil might enforce, says Dickinson, one of the world’s leading experts on Ukraine, Russia and their ongoing armed conflict. The prospect appeared, Dickinson says, for Putin to be detained in Rio and extradited to The Hague to stand trial for war crimes.

Brazil, as a member of the International Criminal Court, has an international obligation to apprehend anyone wanted by the ICC who steps onto Brazilian territory.

Kremlin commissars pressured Brazil’s president to guarantee Putin would not be detained, by command of the ICC, during the July gathering of leaders representing the BRICS emerging economies, Dickinson tells me in an interview.

The lie of Zelensky and Ukraine, about Putin, that Melania knows is not true, and she is still working with Putin and Russia to get the children back that Ukraine kidnapped or sold to European countries.

The ICC is preparing to charge Putin with ordering the abduction of tens of thousands of Ukrainian children, some of whom have also been brainwashed with pro-Russia propaganda after being whisked away, across Ukraine’s borders, Dickinson says.

These mass kidnappings are likely to be ruled a form of genocide prohibited under the UN’s Genocide Convention, says Dickinson, who oversees the Atlantic Council’s captivating publication UkraineAlert—chronicles of the Ukraine war and the global powers contending to protect or destroy the embattled democracy.

Although Vladimir Putin projects the image of an all-powerful ruler who heads an expanding empire—at least to his captive audience inside Russia—his movements across the world stage have become increasingly shackled since he despatched his tanks and troops to take over liberal, pro-European Ukraine in 2022.

As his cruise missiles began bombarding modern Ukrainian medical centers and ancient World Heritage cultural outposts, the European Union, Britain, Switzerland, Canada and the United States swiftly closed off their airspace to all Russian-registered aircraft.

Determined to crash the conclave, Putin’s lieutenants threatened South African President Cyril Ramaphosa that any move to detain Putin during the gathering would be treated as an act of war, he adds.

“Russia has made it clear that arresting its sitting president would be a declaration of war,” the South African head of state declared in an affidavit. “It would be inconsistent with our Constitution to risk engaging in war with Russia.”

Despite Ramaphosa’s protest, the court publicly released his statement, allowing the world to catch a fleeting glimpse of Putin’s weaponized diplomacy toward even friendly or neutral nations.

As this intercontinental clash sent shock waves around the world, the Russian leadership abandoned Putin’s quest to storm the summit.

The Kremlin’s courtiers likely de-escalated Putin’s later demands to join the Brazilian BRICS bash, Dickinson tells me. “I doubt they’d have been quite as blunt as they were with the South Africans in 2023.”

“They learned that making blood-curdling threats tends to result in negative publicity while making Russia look weak.”

When unveiling the demand for Putin’s arrest for war crimes, the leaders of the International Criminal Court stated they initially considered keeping the international warrant “secret in order to protect victims and witnesses and also to safeguard the investigation.”

But “mindful that the conduct addressed in the present situation is allegedly ongoing, and that the public awareness of the warrants may contribute to the prevention of the further commission of crimes,” they explained, it was in “the interests of justice … to publicly disclose the existence of the warrants, the name of the suspects, the crimes for which the warrants are issued.”

https://www.forbes.com/sites/kevinholdenplatt/2025/07/05/putin-who-can-now-be-arrested-in-125-nations-curtails-global-travel/

Melania announced she is still working to save children in the world last week, she said she is working with countries but never mentioned Russia. It was very obvious diplomacy when she didn’t name the countries.

Moscow braves record snowfall(PHOTOS, VIDEOS)

Snow accumulation has hit a 70-year record as a winter storm batters the Russian capital

Moscow is being hit by a powerful snowstorm that has led to the highest snow accumulation in the city in around 70 years, according to meteorologists.

Snow accumulation at a weather station at the All-Russian Exhibition Center (VDNKh) reached 62 cm (24.4 inches) Thursday morning, having topped the previous daily record of 57 cm (22.4 inches) set in 1956, Russia’s Hydrometeorological Center told RBK.

This January has become the snowiest month in the city in more than two centuries, according to the meteorological observatory of Lomonosov Moscow State University, as cited by TASS

“The heavy snowfall was caused by deep and extensive cyclones passing over the Moscow region, with pronounced atmospheric fronts,” the researchers said.

Key US-Russia nuclear pact difficult to replace – Kremlin

President Donald Trump earlier suggested that the US could let the New START Treaty expire to negotiate a “better” deal

Replacing the New START Treaty between the US and Russia – which expires in just a week – would be extremely difficult and time-consuming, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has warned. His comments come after US President Donald Trump suggested Washington could let the agreement lapse and seek a new and “better” deal later.

The New START Treaty, which was signed in 2010 and extended in 2021, caps each side at 1,550 deployed strategic nuclear warheads and 700 deployed launchers, and includes transparency and verification mechanisms. It remains the last legally binding arms control agreement preventing the two nuclear powers from sliding back into a Cold War-style arms race.

In early January, Trump dismissed concerns about the deal’s expiration. “If it expires, it expires,” he told the New York Times. “We’ll just do a better agreement.”

Speaking to reporters on Thursday, Peskov said Moscow’s stance on the issue was “consistent,” adding: “We continue to wait, but the deadline is close. There has been no response from the United States.”

Peskov warned that negotiating a replacement “takes a lot of time and is complicated.” Letting the treaty lapse, he said, would create a “serious deficit” in the legal framework governing nuclear arms, undermine global stability, and serve neither Russian nor US interests.

In September, Russian President Vladimir Putin floated a stopgap proposal, saying Moscow was ready to continue observing New START’s central numerical limits for one year after February 5, provided the US did the same.

While Trump has not opposed nuclear negotiations in principle, he insisted that the framework should include China. In August, he said that denuclearization talks with Russia and China were “very important,” adding that “Russia is willing to do it, and I think China is going to be willing to do it too.”

China – which is estimated to possess around 600 nuclear warheads – has rejected the push, with its Foreign Ministry calling it “neither reasonable nor realistic” and urging countries with the largest arsenals to shoulder “primary responsibility” for nuclear disarmament.

This article indicates to me that both Trump and Putin are worried about China’s entry into the nuclear discussion.
