When are Don Lemon and Tim Malone getting married?
Don Lemon and Tim Malone officially tied the knot on April 6, 2024.
The duo got married in New York City in front of 140 guests.
Neither Lemon nor Malone were stressed about their big day, as reported by People.
“I’m a last-minute person, and most things I just don’t worry about,” Lemon said.
“But this one I’m secretly worried about, but I’m letting Tim take the reins because he’s a good planner,” he added.
Lemon and Malone tied the knot at Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church, and their ceremony was officiated by the US ambassador to the United Nations, Linda Thomas-Greenfield.
“She’s a friend, and it means that much to us,” Lemon said, speaking about Thomas-Greenfield.
“I have not been nervous about anything except writing the vows,” Lemon revealed to People ahead of the big day.
“We are saying our own personal vows and then we’re doing the traditional wedding ceremony vows.”
After the ceremony, guests reportedly made their way to Ralph Lauren’s Polo Bar for the reception.
“We had our first date at the Polo Bar,” Malone said.
“It was election night in 2016. We had gone to a viewing party downtown.”
The wedding’s guest list was a celebrity affair, filled with a slew of entertainers and journalists alike.
Notable attendees include Whoopi Goldberg, Matt Lauer, Luann de Lesseps, and Clive Davis.
“I never thought that I would get married,” Lemon said.
“I mean, maybe Tim’s generation, he’s 18 years younger than me. So for him maybe it was more of a possibility.”
For Lemon, marrying one another is “a confirmation of our love and our commitment to each other.”
“It’s also about celebrating our relationship, and our relationship with the people who are most important to us in our lives,” Lemon added.
In the wake of Don and Tim’s engagement milestone in 2019, the former told People that he and his fiancé had not started planning any aspect of their wedding.
The broadcaster stated: “I’m just trying to enjoy this moment of bliss, and then, whenever we get married, we get married.
“The advice I get from most people is: Don’t become obsessed with the ceremony or wedding planning — just enjoy it.”
While stopping by The Tamron Hall Show, he further explained: “I just found the right person.
“The person who believes in unconditional love, who believes in the challenges, going through the challenges, weathering the storms of a relationship because relationships aren’t easy and I don’t think they’re supposed to be easy.”
