The great thing about being emotionally self sufficient is not giving a fuck about how other people feel and saying whatever it is you want to say. Holy shit though somebody had to.
Hear me out. If somebody on the spectrum wants to seek out "professional help" for advice on how to communicate about a sensitive topic with a family member and they decide to get the advice of a government licensed therapist/counselor… Can that counselor legally tell them to keep their mouth shut about the topic because they are autistic and can't comprehend how large the can of worms they would open by saying something?
No, the counselor may tell their spouse what the individual is paying them to say but they can't tell their client because the government has drilled into them not to be judgemental and that their job is to listen and be part of the journey. This all goes back to Tavistock. Our systems are failing.
Don't worry, in this particular real life situation they asked their dad and got told not to be an autistic about it. I'm just saying that if it went the government's way it would have wrecked an entire family, maybe that's their goal though.
