It revealed that she, and possibly Renee, viewed what they were doing as a game of some sort. They interfered with law enforcement for sport and a sense of self-satisfaction for 'doing something' without understanding the deadly seriousness of what they were doing.
This particular couple is the definition of 'useful idiots' who went to the front line without understanding the bullets fired at them would be real.
