All this makes more questions than answers.
Why this interview hasn't had more attention before now?
I was quick to consider it AI/Fake when it first popped up a few years ago. Either because i assumed it was, as you speculate, to spook/troll the opposition… OR because it was meant to make the general public second-guess our own memory… much the way the Mandela Effect has.
I won't be surprised at all if it turns out he is alive, to testify.
However, i still think JE is mid to low-level, and that there are Movers and Shakers way above JE strata.
I can not in any way imagine JE 'working' alone,
Im sure he had plenty of co-workers.

I think he had a team of Handlers, and 'buyers' of his products, not just the sexytime stuff, but all of the blackmail and manipulations that cam from sexytime stuff.
