Is my (poetic) interpretation of the first four verses, not better than one conflating, every name of power in your book to "GOD"?
It may not be perfect, but
the word "GOD" is hearsay against a personal relationship with The Creator.
The word Elohim is equivalent or closer to the word POWER. Not God. Your English translation is comforting to the old way. Stand by it if you want to but its not accurate.
