Tactical Air Support sells F-5s
Tactical Air Support LLC, a 'Red Air' adversary company has decided to dispose of some of the Northrop F-5 Tiger II aircraft in its inventory. At least three of these have been identified as sold to JDI Holdings LLC of Easton (PA). This company is owned by Jared D. Isaacman (hence JDI) known from the Polaris project. For the commercial training of future astronauts Polaris already uses Alpha jets, L-39s, and a MiG-29UB, while a Tornado is being prepared for the same job.
Until now three airframes are known to have been sold. Of two F-5Fs, N643TA will become N592EM, while N699TA will become N593EM. Single seat F-5E N647TA will become N591EM. All three machines are former Royal Jordanian Air Force in which they served as serials 643, 1754 and 647. As can be seen on the accompanying photo, N643TA already sports a spectacular new livery of 'America 250'.
Although local sources claim that Isaacman has acquired some five F-5s, his company has made reservations for nine aircraft (registrations N591EM to N599EM). Could the disposal of the former Jordanian airframes have something to do with the arrival of 55 F-5s from Saudi Arabia, the last of which came in, in April this year?
