Under the direction of France’s globalist President Macron, French authorities escalated their confrontation with American tech entrepreneur Elon Musk this week, launching high-profile raids of X’s offices in Paris and summoning Musk himself for what prosecutors termed a “voluntary interview.”
The move marks a dramatic intensification of France’s long-running effort to rein in the America-based free-speech platform.
According to the Paris public prosecutor’s office, the operation was carried out by French cybercrime units with assistance from Europol, targeting the French premises of X. Authorities claim the investigation centers on whether X’s algorithm improperly influenced French political discourse.
Summonses were issued to Musk and former X CEO Linda Yaccarino, calling them to Paris in April 2026 to answer questions related to the probe. Yaccarino, who stepped down last year, is listed alongside Musk as a manager during the period under review.
The investigation was formally opened in January 2025 following complaints filed by French political figures aligned with President Emmanuel Macron’s globalist government. Chief among them was MP Éric Bothorel, who accused X of allowing too much ideological diversity and objected to Musk’s direct involvement in platform governance.
To critics of the French government, of which there is no shortage, that complaint alone revealed the true nature of the case—not criminal enforcement, but political retaliation.
Under Musk’s ownership, X has dismantled many of the vague content controls that once favored left-wing establishment narratives across Europe.
French prosecutors later broadened their inquiry, citing concerns related to X’s AI chatbot Grok, including claims it produced offensive or false content. Musk’s company responded by correcting errors, removing disputed posts, and publicly documenting its moderation actions—steps critics say would have been praised had they come from a European firm.

U.S. Healthcare Executive Arrested in Serbia Over Massive $300 MILLION COVID Fraud Scheme
Ex-Loretto Hospital CFO arrested in Serbia
A court filing this week says Anosh Ahmed, who left the U.S. amid fraud charges, was arrested in the eastern European country in late 2025.
Anosh Ahmed, the former Chicago hospital finance chief accused of bilking millions from the federal government, has been arrested in Serbia.
That’s according to a Jan. 28 filing in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Ahmed had been serving as CFO of Chicago-area safety-net hospital Loretto Hospital until he quit in March 2021 amid controversies surrounding fraudulent COVID-19 tests, first documented by local outlet Block Club Chicago. Since then, he is believed to have left the U.S. for Dubai, but apparently found himself in Serbia by late 2025.
Per the latest court filing, the United States government first received notice of Ahmed’s arrest in Serbia on Nov. 30, 2025. Shortly after learning of his arrest, the American government told the eastern European country it intended to seek extradition and submitted a formal “extradition package” on Jan. 23.
U.S. officials said they learned on Dec. 30, 2025, that a Serbian court denied Ahmed’s petition to be released to a Belgrade hotel and ordered him to remain in Serbian custody.
As of now, Ahmed’s trial date is set for July 2026, though that’s subject to a pending request by Ahmed’s attorney to push the trial to September 2026, according to the filing.
Ahmed has been accused of orchestrating a “single, widespread scheme to submit more than $800 million in false claims to the United States Health Resources and Services Administration for reimbursement of COVID-19 testing of uninsured individuals,” the filing stated. The scheme unfolded from June 2021 through March 2022, according to the filing, which was submitted by the office of U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois Andrew Boutros.
As part of the scheme, Ahmed and others are accused of accessing personal data of more than 150,000 patients to get reimbursement for COVID-19 tests that were never administered.
Ahmed also came under controversy in the early days of the pandemic when vaccinations first began rolling out on a limited basis. Back in 2021, Ahmed and other Loretto Hospital execs held vaccination events at high-end locations, including watch dealers and Trump Tower in Chicago. That runs in contrast to Loretto’s mission as a safety-net hospital.

It’s the kind of link Epstein had with disgraced British Lord Peter Mandelson, who while UK business secretary allegedly confirmed to his pedophile financier friend that the EU had agreed a €500 billion bailout to prop up the euro in May 2010.
Dmitriev’s accusations against Gates echo broader criticisms of Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance that Gates granted $750 million to in 2000. Gavi claims it pools funds from governments, philanthropists, and industry to buy and distribute vaccines in low-income countries. Detractors argue that, dominated by the Gates Foundation – its largest private donor – Gavi prioritizes selling expensive new vaccines instead of actually providing healthcare.
Recently, US Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. pulled American funding from Gavi, citing science on vaccine safety and public trust. The move echoes long-standing debates over stifling dissent during the global Covid-19 lockdown and vaccination program.
DOJ files also show Gates discussing polio eradication in Pakistan and Afghanistan with Epstein’s input. The disgraced financier had no health expertise, so his deep involvement in these sensitive, geopolitically charged efforts raises red flags about hidden influence, conflicts, or leverage – especially given Gates later called associating with him a “huge mistake.”
2017 pandemic simulation
Gates actually brainstormed a ‘Strain Pandemic Simulation’ with Epstein in 2017. Emails reveal the billionaire outlining deliverables on health data and neurotechnologies, including specs for this simulation – years before Covid-19. This aligns with Dmitriev’s claims that Gates collaborated with Epstein on such a simulation that year, amid talks on secure personal health data systems and whitepapers on neurotologies related to chronic diseases and national defense.
This isn’t Gates’ first simulation rodeo; he co-hosted Event 201 in 2019 with Johns Hopkins and the Davos World Economic Forum, modeling a coronavirus outbreak.
Explosive personal allegations
Epstein’s 2013 draft emails, seemingly penned for Boris Nikolic – Gates’ former chief science adviser at the Gates Foundation and a biotech investor named as backup executor in Epstein’s will – contain drop jaw-dropping claims.
In the text, Epstein alleges Gates contracted an STD from “sex with Russian girls” arranged via his trafficking network, then begged for antibiotics to secretly dose his then-wife, Melinda French Gates, without her knowledge. Gates also purportedly sought Adderall for bridge tournaments and facilitated illicit trysts.
In a bizarre twist, Epstein’s email received a 2013 permanent ban from Microsoft’s Xbox Live for “harassment, threats, and/or abuse” deemed “severe, repeated, and/or excessive.”

Spain announces major social media crackdown
The proposed censorship laws are aimed at Elon Musk, Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has said
Spain will ban social media use for children under 16 and hold tech executives personally accountable for “hateful content” spread on their platforms, Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez announced on Tuesday.
Speaking at the World Government Summit in Dubai, Sanchez said that his administration will implement five measures to regulate social media, with sweeping consequences for free speech.
“First, we will change the law in Spain to hold platform executives legally accountable for many infringements taking place on their sites,” he announced, explaining that executives who fail to remove “criminal or hateful content” will face criminal charges.
Most jurisdictions view social media sites as ‘platforms’ rather than ‘publishers’, meaning users themselves are responsible for the content they post. Sanchez’ proposed change goes beyond the scope of the EU’s Digital Services Act, which mandates fines for platforms that fail to remove “disinformation” after being alerted to it.
Sanchez did not explain what constitutes “hateful content,” while the text of the DSA does not explain the term “disinformation.”
Sanchez said that his government would also turn “algorithmic manipulation and amplification of illegal content” into a criminal offense, track and study “how digital platforms fuel division and amplify hate,” ban social media use for under-16s, and launch a criminal investigation into alleged offenses committed by Grok, TikTok, and Instagram.
During his speech, Sanchez personally singled out X owner Elon Musk, accusing the billionaire of spreading “disinformation” about his decision to grant amnesty to half a million illegal immigrants last week. On Sunday, Musk accused Spanish MEP Irene Montero of “advocating genocide” after she declared that she wants a “replacement of right-wingers” by migrants.
Sanchez said that five other European countries, which he called a “coalition of the digitally willing,” would pass similar legislation. France passed a much narrower bill banning under-15s from social media last week, while Greece is “very close” to announcing a similar ban, Reuters reported on Tuesday.

Pirro’s comments drew fire from other Republicans in the aftermath of her Fox News appearance.
“Second Amendment rights are not extinguished just because an American visits DC. American gun owners who conceal carry are among the most law-abiding citizens in the nation,” Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis posted on X. “They are friends of law enforcement; they should not be targeted by law enforcement.”
“The District of Columbia has been ‘shall issue’ since 2017 when the requirement that you must have a ‘good reason’ to carry a handgun was struck down,” Republican Kentucky Rep. Thomas Massie said in a Monday post on X. “Non-residents can obtain a permit in DC — don’t ask me how I know.”
Pirro addressed the controversy in a Tuesday morning post on X, explaining the legal requirements to carry a firearm in D.C.
“Let me be clear: I am a proud supporter of the Second Amendment,” Pirro said. “Washington, D.C. law requires handguns be licensed in the District with the Metropolitan Police Department to be carried into our community. We are focused on individuals who are unlawfully carrying guns and will continue building on that momentum to keep our communities safe.”
“Jeanine Pirro’s original remarks were not directed at violent criminals—they were aimed at law-abiding Americans who hold concealed carry permits in other states. By every available statistic, these citizens are among the most law-abiding people in the country,” Erich Pratt, Senior Vice President of Gun Owners of America, told the DCNF. “While she is now reiterating her support for the Second Amendment, she continues enforcing a law that criminalizes peaceful, non-violent behavior based solely on geography, not conduct.”
“Hardened criminals do not obtain permits or follow licensing schemes, yet D.C.’s laws place the full weight of prosecution on lawful citizens who pose no threat to public safety,” Pratt continued. “That is precisely why national concealed carry reciprocity is needed—a fundamental constitutional right should not disappear the moment a law-abiding American crosses an invisible border.”
The National Rifle Association did not immediately respond to a request for comment from the Daily Caller News Foundation.
Washington, D.C., does not recognize concealed carry permits issued by other states, although it will issue concealed carry permits to non-residents who register the firearms they will be bringing into the jurisdiction and who meet numerous other requirements, according to the United States Concealed Carry Association (USCCA).

Addressing ‘conference of appreciation’ for farming outposts, Katz lauds settler activists as ‘pioneers of our day,’ says they are helping ‘weaken’ Palestinian presence in region
Defense Minister Israel Katz announced on Monday that he is advancing the legalization of some 140 unauthorized farming outposts in the West Bank, and is being supported in this effort by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich.
Speaking in a video message to a “conference of appreciation” for illegal farming outposts, Katz lauded those involved in those endeavors as “the pioneers of our days” and praised them for their work in “weakening the Palestinians’ efforts to establish themselves in the region.”
Some of these farming outposts have become hotbeds for settler violence that terrorizes nearby Palestinian communities, as far-right activists use the agricultural communes to expand Israel’s grip over West Bank territory.
A spokesperson for Netanyahu did not immediately respond to a question about whether the prime minister supports the legalization of the 140 farming outposts. However, he has reportedly expressed support for the move in the past.
Smotrich and Settlements Minister Orit Struck attended the conference, which was held at the illegal farming outpost of Hesed Olam and organized by the Mateh Binyamin Regional Council, within whose jurisdiction the outpost lies.
The establishment of illegal farming outposts in the West Bank, which usually involved the grazing of sheep, goats, or cattle across large areas of land, has in recent years become a tactic widely used by settler activists, in coordination with regional settlement councils and individual settlements, with the explicit goal of exerting control over large swaths of West Bank land.
The outposts are frequently established on what is defined as state land — land that is not privately owned — in order to stave off immediate removal by the security services. But the outposts are built without cabinet authorization, meaning they are illegal under Israeli law.
Government ministries, including the Settlements Ministry and the Agriculture Ministry, have directly funded the farming outposts, providing them with security equipment and subsidies for raising livestock.

Ultra-processed foods 'engineered' like cigarettes: study
A new study has drawn parallels between the addictive qualities of ultra-processed foods (UPFs) and tobacco products and called for similar levels of regulation.
A study by researchers at three United States universities claims to have identified similarities between the addictive characteristics of ultra-processed foods (UPFs) and cigarettes, and has recommended similar levels of regulation.
According to the study, which was published this week in the Milbank Quarterly healthcare journal, UPFs "share key engineering strategies adopted from the tobacco industry" which are designed to drive "compulsive consumption."
The study found that common UPFs like soft drinks, chips and cookies are industrially produced in such a way as to optimize the "doses" of addictive ingredients and encourage overuse.
"UPFs are not just nutrients but [are] intentionally designed, highly engineered and manipulated, hedonically optimized products," it says.
Should UPFs be regulated like tobacco products?
The researchers from Harvard, the University of Michigan and Duke University therefore recommend applying regulatory policies to UPFs similar to those which are now widely applied to tobacco.
These could include clearer labeling, higher taxes, limits on availability in schools and hospitals, and restrictions on child-targeted marketing.
The authors of the study point out that, unlike tobacco, food is necessary for human survival, making the need for UPF regulation even more urgent because "opting out of the modern food supply is difficult."
The findings come two months after a UNICEF study published in The Lancet in December revealed the extent of UPF consumption among young children in 11 different countries.
The study found that 10-35% of children aged five and under already regularly consumed sweet soft drinks, while 60% of teenagers admitted to having eaten at least one UPF product the day before.
UPFs in Africa: 'Growing public health alarm'
In developed countries, the study found that over 50% of people's calorie intake is derived from potentially harmful UPFs – but poorer developing countries are also increasingly at risk.
Responding to the Milbank Quarterly study, Githinji Gitahi, the chief executive of Kenya-based NGO Amref Health Africa, warned of a "growing public health alarm" across Africa.
"Corporate [organizations] have found a comfortable, and profitable, nexus: weak government regulation on harmful products and a changing pattern of consumption," he told The Guardian. "This places new and preventable pressures on already stretched health systems."
Others, however, have cautioned against drawing too many parallels between UPFs and tobacco, suggesting the latest study risks "overreach" in its conclusions.

Roberto Grijalva, an officer at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York has been identified as the anonymous prison employee who posted on 4Chan claiming Epstein left his cell Friday evening shackled in a medical wheelchair while at the same time an unauthorized trip van arrived at the prison, which he believes took Epstein away the night BEFORE news broke of his death.
The day after Epstein’s death, U.S. Attorney Geoffrey Berman of the SDNY opened a Grand Jury proceeding and subpoenaed 4Chan, Apple, AT&T and Citibank for records aiming to uncover Grijalva’s identity following the anonymous 4Chan post.
Grijalva’s name is not redacted on his bank records included in the SDNY subpoena response from Citibank for his 4Chan post, and ties to the same Prison Officer Roberto Grijalva whose statements were released as part of the prison’s investigation into Epstein’s death.

Regulators worldwide are stepping up action against xAI’s Grok amid concerns over illegal and non-consensual sexual imagery.
Governments and regulators around the world are cracking down on sexually explicit content generated by Elon Musk's xAI chatbot Grok on X, launching probes, imposing bans, and demanding safeguards in a growing global push to curb illegal material.
Here are some reactions from governments and regulators since the start of January:
Europe
The European Commission, on January 26, opened an investigation into whether Grok disseminates illegal content such as manipulated sexualised images in the EU. The probe will examine whether X properly assessed and mitigated risks as required under the bloc's digital rules.
The Commission had on January 8, extended an order sent to X last year to retain and preserve all internal documents and data related to Grok until the end of 2026.
Britain's media regulator Ofcom has launched an investigation into X to determine whether sexually intimate deepfakes produced by Grok violated its duty to protect people in the UK from content that could be illegal, under the country's Online Safety Act framework.
Paris prosecutor's cybercrime unit raided X's office in Paris on February 3 and ordered Musk to face questions in April regarding a widening investigation over alleged algorithmic bias, complicity in the detention and diffusion of images of child‑pornographic nature and the violation of a person’s image rights with sexually explicit deepfakes.
Germany's media minister said EU rules provided tools to tackle illegal content and alleged the problem risked turning into the "industrialisation of sexual harassment."
Italy's data protection authority warned that using AI tools to create "undressed" deepfake imagery of real people without consent could amount to serious privacy violations and, in some cases, criminal offenses.
Swedish political leaders have also condemned Grok-generated sexualised content after reporting that imagery involving Sweden's deputy prime minister was produced from a user prompt.
Asia
India's IT ministry sent X a formal notice on January 2 over alleged Grok-enabled creation or sharing of obscene sexualised images, directing the content to be taken down and requiring a report on the actions being taken within 72 hours.
Japan also probed X over Grok, stating that the government would consider every possible option to prevent the generation of inappropriate images.
Indonesia's communications and digital ministry said it had blocked access to Grok, a move digital minister Meutya Hafid said was meant to protect women and children from AI-generated fake pornographic content, citing Indonesia's strict anti‑pornography laws.
Malaysia restored access to Grok for its users after X implemented additional safety measures, its communications regulator said on January 23.
The Philippines will reinstate access to Grok after its developer pledged to remove image-manipulation tools that had sparked child-safety concerns, the country's cybercrime investigation unit said on January 21.

California's governor and attorney general said on January 14 they were demanding answers from xAI amid the spread of non-consensual sexual images on the platform.
Canada's privacy watchdog said it was widening an existing investigation into X after reports that Grok was generating non-consensual, sexually explicit deepfakes.
Brazil's government and federal prosecutors gave xAI 30 days to prevent the chatbot from spreading fake sexualised content, according to a joint statement on January 20.

Australia's online-safety regulator eSafety said on January 7 it was investigating Grok-generated sexualised deepfake images, assessing adult material under its image‑based abuse scheme and noting current child-related examples it had reviewed did not meet the legal threshold for child sexual abuse material under Australian law.

Hebrew Report Confirms Israel Has Been Spraying Toxins Along Border With Syria And Lebanon
The Northern Command of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) has been operating civilian agricultural aircraft for several weeks to spray herbicides over areas adjacent to the front with Syria and Lebanon in order to kill vegetation that could provide cover for “terrorists” approaching, i24NEWS reported on February 2.
Three civilian and security sources told the news outlet that in recent weeks, several flights were recorded near al-Qunitra in Syria, as well as along the Lebanon border.
Syrian state media reported three such flights over al-Qunitra on January 25, 27 and 30. The country collected samples for analysis and its Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ibrahim Alabi, brought up the issue during a recent Security Council session.
And on the same day i24NEWS released its report, The UN Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) complained about Israeli aircraft spraying chemicals along the border.
The UNIFIL said in a statement the IDF gave advance notice on February 1 that it would release the substance. While Israel described the material as non-toxic and warned peacekeepers to stay indoors, UNIFIL said the incident forced it to cancel more than a dozen activities.
Operations along a third of the so-called “Blue Line,” which marks the unofficial border between Israel and Lebanon, were halted for over nine hours.
The UNIFIL labeled the action “unacceptable,” noting it hindered the mission’s mandate and could pose health risks to both peacekeepers and civilians. Peacekeepers assisted the Lebanese side in collecting samples of the substance to test for toxicity.
The mission also raised concerns about the long-term impact on local farmland and the ability of displaced residents to return home.
The IDF used the exact same tactic around Gaza for years, with Palestinian media reporting long lasting damage to farmland and scores of casualties.
Israel maintained a series of posts in southern Lebanon even after a ceasefire brokered by the United States entered into effect in November of 2024. Later on the same year, the IDF invaded the buffer zone adjacent to the occupied Golan Heights in al-Qunitra, and it has since established a series of posts there too, including more than one atop the strategic Mount Hermon.
The latest actions by the IDF’s Northern Command indicate that Israel is planning to keep its posts in both Syria and Lebanon for a long while.
