PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — Portland police shot and killed a wanted man while trying to take him into custody at an apartment building in the Pearl District early Thursday morning, later saying he was connected to a shotgun loaded with shells marked with messages threatening the president.
No officers were hurt in the shooting incident, bureau spokesperson Sgt. Kevin Allen said.
The man, who has not been publicly identified, was accused of trying to shoot a security guard at a Safeway store in Northwest Portland a week prior.
