It was Nancyβs neighbor that told the FBI about how white her roof looked, and suggested they check to see if she had it recoated recently, potentially leading to any suspects.
Gargano said her garage roof is flat and it easily gets dirty. So when she saw how white Nancyβs roof was from the mediaβs drone footage, it drew suspicion due to the previous weather events that had run the area recently.
It was that tip that led the FBI to seizing a solar-powered camera missed in prior searches (howwww smh).
