picrel reminded me of a funny story. I knew a marine viet nam veteran who was kitchen staff. he told me their commanding officer did not want any marines to feel left out of the action and kitchen staff was encouraged to go on patrol with the guys that did that stuff. so he and another guy did. the other guy actually brought a kodak 8mm movie camera. when they encountered some cong, instead of shooting his rifle, he stood up to record the fire fight. someone knocked him down and told him to shoot his rifle. they all made it back alive that day.
