Alleged would-be assassin of Russian general arrested – FSB

The Russian authorities have detained two suspects in connection with the attempted assassination of a senior military intelligence general in Moscow, including the alleged gunman, the Federal Security Service (FSB) has announced.
It added that the purported would-be assassin was detained in Dubai with the help of the UAE authorities.
In a statement on Sunday, the FSB said the alleged gunman – identified as 65-year-old Ukrainian-born Russian citizen Lyubomir Korba – was detained in Dubai with the assistance of the United Arab Emirates authorities and handed over to Russia.
On Friday, Lieutenant General Vladimir Alekseyev, the first deputy chief of Russia’s Main Intelligence Directorate (GRU), was shot three times in the back outside his residence and taken to the hospital.
Russia’s Investigative Committee later said that Korba – who was born in western Ukraine – arrived in Moscow in late December last year on instructions from Ukraine’s security services to carry out “a terrorist attack.”
The FSB added that it identified alleged accomplices in the attack, including Russian citizen Viktor Vasin, 66, who was detained in Moscow, and Zinaida Serebritskaya, 54, who it said fled to Ukraine.
The agency released a video apparently showing the alleged gunman leaving the building where the attack took place and discarding what looked like a pistol fitted with a silencer into the snow before boarding a bus.
Another clip shows FSB operatives escorting a suspect with his face blurred from an aircraft.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Russian President Vladimir Putin had held a phone call on Saturday with his UAE counterpart, Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and thanked him for his assistance in helping to apprehend the suspected gunman.
Commenting on the assassination attempt, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov called it a “terrorist act,” adding that it “once again confirmed the focus of the [Vladimir] Zelensky regime on constant provocations aimed… at disrupting the negotiation process.”
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrey Sibiga has insisted that Kiev had nothing to do with the attack.
Alekseyev has held the post since 2011, and during his tenure oversaw counterterrorism operations in Syria. In 2017, he was awarded the title Hero of the Russian Federation.

Ukrainian troops hit enemy positions: Drone hub destroyed among other strikes

Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a Russian logistics depot, a concentration of enemy troops, and a drone command post, according to the Telegram channel of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"As part of measures to reduce the offensive capabilities of the Russian aggressor, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to carry out fire strikes on enemy military facilities in temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine and on the territory of the Russian Federation," the statement reads.
Specifically, on the night of February 8, a logistics depot of enemy forces was hit in the area of temporarily occupied Rozivka in Zaporizhzhia region.
On February 7, in the area of Krasnohirsk, Zaporizhzhia region (temporarily occupied territory), a concentration of enemy troops was struck.
Additionally, in the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk region, near Novoekonomichne, a Russian drone command post was destroyed.
Earlier strikes also targeted the Russian Ministry of Defense's Kapustin Yar inter-service central range in Astrakhan region, resulting in confirmed damage to a ballistic missile support facility, an assembly building, and a logistics depot.
Enemy losses and the full extent of damage are still being assessed.
Strikes on Russian facilities
In January, Ukrainian forces carried out a series of strikes on the Kapustin Yar range in Russia, from which the occupiers launched Oreshnik missiles at Ukraine.
On February 5 and 6, Ukrainian drones struck Uragan multiple launch rocket systems, drone command posts, concentrations of enemy personnel, and an FPV drone production center in temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
On the night of February 3, the Defense Forces hit an FPV drone production center, enemy troop concentrations, and a Russian electronic warfare station.
On the night of February 2, Ukrainian forces carried out a series of successful strikes on Russian command posts and logistical facilities.

Israel reported multiple ceasefire violations in northern and southern Gaza, ahead of Board of Peace meeting in Washington.
Israel's Defense Forces in northern Gaza detected terrorists breaching the Yellow Line and closing in on troops, creating an urgent threat as the next Board of Peace meeting approaches.
The IAF responded with a strike, taking out one terrorist to eliminate the danger.
In an X post, Israel Defense Forces said, “CEASEFIRE VIOLATION: IDF troops operating in northern Gaza identified several terrorists who crossed the Yellow Line and approached the troops, posing an imminent threat to them.
Following identification, the IAF struck the terrorists and eliminated one of the terrorists in order to remove the threat.”
The ceasefire violations come amid the next scheduled Board of Peace meeting on February 19th in Washington DC.
This is the second ceasefire violation within 24 hours; earlier IDF shared in an X post about a ceasefire violation in southern Gaza.
“MULTIPLE CEASEFIRE VIOLATIONS: In 2 separate incidents in both northern and southern Gaza, IDF troops identified terrorists who crossed the Yellow Line, posing an imminent threat to their safety.
In response, in both incidents, the troops eliminated the terrorists in order to remove the threats posed”, said the IDF.
Ceasefire violations in northern and southern Gaza underscore a fragile truce ahead of the February 19 Washington Board of Peace meeting.
IDF strikes neutralize threats from terrorists breaching the Yellow Line, signaling heightened risks as talks loom. Multiple incidents within 24 hours highlight the urgent need for de-escalation to salvage negotiations.
The Board of Peace meeting
The Board of Peace meeting is set for February 19 in Washington, DC. It will bring together leaders from 26 countries at the US Institute of Peace.
The group was formed at Davos under President Trump's push to enforce the Gaza ceasefire. They also plan to fund rebuilding after the October truce.
Key talks will cover Phase 2 demilitarization. Recent Yellow Line breaches in Gaza raise tensions just before the summit.

IDF fighter jets scrambled over Wizz Air flight after midair security alert

Israeli Air Force fighter jets were scrambled on Sunday to escort a Wizz Air flight from London to Ben Gurion Airport after a security concern was raised onboard.
The move followed a report by a couple on the flight who told the crew they had received a security threat on a mobile phone during the flight.
Upon landing at Ben Gurion Airport, security forces conducted checks on passengers as they disembarked, with security personnel and dogs screening each passenger individually.
The measures were taken amid concerns about a possible explosive device or another security-related incident. After the couple was questioned, the suspicion was lifted.
The Israel Airports Authority said in a statement: "Due to suspicion of suspicious conduct on the aircraft, security forces acted in accordance with procedures for such cases.
The incident has concluded. The aircraft landed and it was found that there was no real incident."

Khamenei skips annual air force meeting for first time in 37 years

Iranian posts video appeal to Trump then takes his own life
An Iranian man from the southern port city of Bushehr released a video in English appealing to US President Donald Trump and Western governments to halt any deal with Iran’s ruling establishment before taking his own life.
In the roughly 10-minute video, the man, identified by Iranian media and activists as Pouria Hamidi, said he wanted to draw attention to what he described as a deadly crackdown on protests in Iran and urged Washington not to pursue negotiations with Tehran.
“If you’re watching this, then I’m not around anymore,” he said at the start of the video, adding that he was speaking to raise awareness about a massacre carried out by Iranian authorities during recent unrest.
“More than 40,000 people died, killed, massacred. More than Russia and Ukraine war and more than Israel and Palestine.”
Addressing US leaders directly, Hamidi urged them to abandon diplomacy with Tehran, saying any agreement would “betray all those people who died.”
“So please,” he said. “I beg you, do whatever you can to stop this deal.”
The video, recorded in English, also included appeals for foreign intervention, criticism of Iran’s religious establishment and expressions of support for exiled Prince Reza Pahlavi.
“America attacking the Iran is the only hope we have right now,” he said, adding, “We can't fight this regime alone. Our people need foreign intervention.”
Hamidi described his message as an attempt to give meaning to his life and said he hoped Iranians would support one another.
At the end of the recording, he switched to Persian, saying: “We people of Iran are lonely people and have nobody, so please support each other. Long live Iran.”

Drone strike on displaced civilians in North Kordofan city kills 24, Sudanese authorities blame RSF

A drone strike at the southern entrance of Al-Rahad killed at least 24 displaced civilians on Saturday as they arrived from South Kordofan, according to authorities in North Kordofan state, who blamed the attack on the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
Officials said the vehicle was carrying people fleeing the Dubeiker area when it was hit, leaving dozens dead or wounded. Among the victims were women, children, and elderly passengers, the state government said.
In a statement, the North Kordofan government “strongly condemns, in the harshest terms, the horrific terrorist crime committed by the RSF militia,” calling the incident a deliberate strike on a civilian transport vehicle headed into the city.
“The attack resulted in the martyrdom of 24 unarmed civilians, including women, children, and elderly people, in addition to the injury of a large number of civilians,” the statement said.
International law invoked
Authorities described the episode as a serious breach of international humanitarian law, citing protections afforded to noncombatants and displaced people.
The Sudan Doctors Network issued a separate condemnation, labeling the strike “a new massacre” in North Kordofan. The group said the victims were traveling from South Kordofan and were targeted as they reached Al-Rahad.
According to the network, eight of those killed were children, including two infants. It said the injured were brought into Al-Rahad for treatment despite what it described as dire medical and humanitarian conditions and a severe lack of supplies.
Targeting civilians in flight from conflict, along with the vehicles transporting them, constitutes “a full-fledged war crime and a violation of all humanitarian and international laws,” the network said. It accused the RSF of systematic attacks on civilians and operating with impunity.
The organization called on international bodies and human rights groups to act quickly to protect vulnerable populations, ensure safe routes for displacement, and allow humanitarian assistance to reach affected areas without obstruction.

“So if they’ve got something that is proprietary in nature, they’re not necessarily just simply going to give it up to the US government. They’re going to expect us to buy it from them.
“We buy their products, but not necessarily the patents that created it in the first place. We’re changing a lot of that right now, by the way.”
But it seems like the Pentagon can hide stuff from Congress by having a contractor handle it?
“That’s been a discussion for some time,” Rounds says. “But no resolution.”

On a bitter Sunday morning in January 2023, as New York sat cold and dry beyond the Fox & Friends studio walls, former Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe said something that should have sent a chill through the American national security apparatus.
He put it bluntly: mysterious Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) represented:
"Objects that demonstrate technologies that seem to defy the law of physics and capabilities that we don't have as the world's superpower."
He added:
“Our role in the federal government is to provide for the common defense and we can’t do that if someone else has technologies that are better than what we have.”
Looking back, it is hard to believe the words were spoken at all. John Ratcliffe, now Director of the CIA, sat before three hosts, among them Pete Hegseth, now Secretary of Defense, and said with quiet certainty that there are mysterious objects that the world’s superpower does not possess.
And all of it was spoken, astonishingly, between the men who now stand at the helm of the CIA and the United States Department of Defense.
For years, claims like that lived mostly in testimony. There was military imagery, sometimes compelling. But nothing publicly available matched it for clarity or evidentiary weight in showing extreme capabilities.
That may have changed on 3 February 2026. Investigative journalists Jeremy Corbell and George Knapp released footage showing an unidentified, mushroom-shaped object. It appears to execute instantaneous acceleration.
Until now, that performance signature has largely existed in testimony, not in public imagery.
Debuted on the WEAPONIZED podcast, the 2021 clip appears to show the object being tracked by an MQ-9 Reaper operating under U.S. Air Force direction along the Syria–Jordan border.
The timing matters. The clip dates to 2021, when coalition forces in Syria were facing persistent drone threats. In December that year, an RAF Typhoon destroyed a hostile drone near the At Tanf base.
It was the first time the British military had brought down an enemy aircraft since the Falklands War, nearly 40 years earlier.
Two years later, Knapp and Corbell released footage they alleged showed the object that was shot down. Like this week’s clip, it presents a mushroom-like profile, or as Knapp put it, a ‘mushroom cloud’.
It didn’t look like a drone.
According to Corbell, a Five Eyes intelligence report generated months following the event classified the object as UAP.
It’s also important to note that it doesn’t carry the same weight as the most recent footage released by Corbell and Knapp, and the object’s profile is not a clear match.
Corbell said the report - focused on UAP - described an uptick in encounters over Syria and Iraq, involving the United States Air Force, the UK Royal Air Force, the Royal Canadian Air Force, and the militaries of Russia and Syria.
The context for this seemingly remarkable footage matters. It shows a similar-looking UAP executing instantaneous acceleration at a time when allied bases were being targeted regularly by terrorist drones.
The greater point is this: Ratcliffe’s warning was about capability. If the footage shows what it appears to show, the United States is watching technology it cannot match.
The footage was captured using a thermographic Forward Looking Infrared (FLIR) sensor, as the object was observed and actively tracked by the Reaper from Jordanian territory. On-screen symbology suggests the system achieved what is described as a weapons-quality lock.
Moments later, the object abruptly departs, appearing to accelerate rapidly and potentially change direction. The apparent performance is notable because the object shows no visible wings, control surfaces, or conventional propulsion during the manoeuvre.

Speaking to Liberation Times about the footage, Jeremy Corbell stated:
‘I’m excited to present this new piece of evidence - strengthening the expanding body of military-filmed UAP imagery entering the public domain.
‘This footage is unique, in that George Knapp and I are presenting the official analytical product prepared exclusively for internal consumption by U.S. intelligence agencies and the Department of War.
‘This footage was evaluated in depth because of its unmistakable exhibition of instantaneous acceleration - one of the established UAP observables.
‘Compared to all the other military-filmed UFO footage George and I have obtained and released over the years - this one stands apart as exceptionally compelling evidence. It holds the potential to shift paradigms.’
Marik von Rennenkampff, a former analyst at the U.S. Department of State and an Obama-era appointee at the Department of Defense (now known as the Department of War), urged caution and independent analysis but, after an initial assessment, stated that ‘on its face, this is the most extraordinary UAP footage that I have seen.’
Speaking to Liberation Times, von Rennenkampff soberingly put it:
‘If further analysis establishes that this object exhibited the extraordinary technology required to accelerate instantaneously without wings or discernible means of propulsion, the implications would be profound.
‘It would suggest that either a nation-state has developed an astounding advantage over its adversaries or objects of unknown origin are demonstrating truly perplexing capabilities in our skies.’
He added:
‘While this footage will undoubtedly be subject to extensive open-source analysis in the coming days and weeks, a preliminary assessment suggests that the object demonstrated instantaneous acceleration, an extreme performance capability that many witnesses have described over the decades but which, to date, has not been observed in verified or vetted footage.
In short, the object’s apparent rapid acceleration does not appear to be an artifact of the operator moving the camera rapidly or a change in the camera’s tracking settings.
‘Moreover, the object appears to demonstrate this perplexing capability, as well as a potential direction change, despite the apparent absence of wings, control surfaces, or conventional means of propulsion - all while appearing much colder than its surroundings. This is certainly intriguing footage that should have been made public years ago.’
When asked to confirm whether the Pentagon’s UAP-dedicated All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) possessed the video, a Department of War (DoW) spokesperson answered, ‘We have nothing to provide regarding the alleged Syria UAP video.’
Corbell and Knapp’s release echoes footage described to the Daily Mail in 2022 by a source within the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.
The source told the Daily Mail that there are dozens of classified UAP videos on government servers filmed by MQ-9 Reaper drones abroad. The source added:
'These drones operate 20-25,000 feet up in the air and they're flying around. We're keeping an eye on bad guys all over the world.'
'An operator will be zoomed in looking at a town in Syria. And all of a sudden, a little orb will go flying through the viewfinder.
'The operator's like, What the hell? And so he starts focusing on it and he just watches the orb for a while. We might get it for 30 seconds, we might watch it for 10 minutes. And then it will do something remarkable, like suddenly bolt off the screen.'
The source added:
'But there are s***loads of classified videos that are pretty profound and pretty clear.
'They don't want to talk about this stuff, because they really, really don't know what the hell they are. That's the truth.'
Speaking about the potential reasons for the U.S. government withholding such footage, von Rennenkampff told Liberation Times:

‘Speaking in my personal capacity, with countless military infrared videos in the public domain - including from the same aircraft and sensor system that recorded this particular video - along with the fact that it’s no secret that U.S. assets monitored contested areas of Syria five years ago (a country which also saw a change in leadership in 2024), I cannot see how the public release of this or similar footage causes any discernible damage to national security.’
Jeremy Corbell told Liberation Times that the U.S. government, which allegedly holds the footage, never intended to release the footage, stating:
‘The public was never supposed to see this footage and analysis - owing to the longstanding and sustained restriction on such material by U.S. intelligence agencies and allied entities.
‘Yet now, for the first time in our shared history, the public can see an unequivocal demonstration of a UAP executing abrupt directional change with apparent instantaneous acceleration, recorded on a military-grade weapons and optics system. It is direct and incontrovertible.’
Instantaneous acceleration is one of six observables associated with UAP - in full, they include:
Instantaneous Acceleration - Objects change velocity or direction abruptly at rates far beyond human or known technological tolerances (e.g., thousands of Gs, no visible propulsion or inertial effects)
Hypersonic Velocity with Signatures - Sustained speeds above Mach 5 (hypersonic) with no sonic booms, thermal signatures, heat plumes, or aerodynamic drag indicators
Low Observability - Objects appear difficult to detect on radar (cloaking/stealth-like properties), visually faint, or partially transparent despite being solid and manoeuvrable
Transmedium Travel - Seamless movement between all-domains: air, water, space/vacuum, or other, without performance loss or visible transition effects (e.g., entering/exiting water at high speeds without decreased velocity or splash)
Positive Lift / Anti Gravity - Hovering, rapid manoeuvres, or flight with no apparent wings, rotors, exhaust, or lift-generating surfaces (propulsion without visible means)
Biological Effects - Close proximity sometimes causes radiation-like symptoms, burns, disorientation, electromagnetic interference, or other unexplained physical health or neuropsychological effects on observers.
Like the probable impact of Ratcliffe’s comments on that January day in 2023, Corbell and Knapp’s latest release may have sent a chill through the American national security apparatus.
And there may be more to come. Corbell told Liberation Times:
‘This release should dispel stigma, inform relevant academic disciplines, and rouse the broader scientific community.
It should instil a drive for rigorous examination, given the prospect of profound discovery. This should spur the scientific community to engage in UAP investigation at scale.
‘Ultimately, it remains my journalistic obligation to present the strongest available information and evidence. George Knapp and I are committed to this aim and our reporting together.
‘The barriers are giving way. This evidence will - and must - transform how science approaches the UAP enigma.
‘Progress unfolds gradually - yet we must hasten our engagement, for humanity stands to gain immeasurably.’
UAP stories of new footage appear to languish at the bottom of the news agenda now. Some videos are proven and will continue to be proven prosaic.
But this video, alongside GOFAST, GIMBAL and ‘Tic Tac’, drags Ratcliffe’s warning out of the abstract and into view. While the world fixes its gaze on Iran, the deeper issue is capability.
If these clips show what they appear to show, then the world’s dominant superpower may not be an Earthly nation at all.

Whether every detail of these accounts can be independently verified or not, their consistency points to a deeper truth:
Eisenhower was perceived as a threat by entrenched interests precisely because he resisted unchecked power and challenged secrecy that had become autonomous.
Over time, narratives emerged that diminished or distorted this aspect of his legacy. Our family has carried the weight of those distortions for decades.
Living under persistent misrepresentation ~ being dismissed, misunderstood, and judged for narratives designed to obscure the truth, takes a real psychological toll.

The opening ceremony of the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics has sparked intense backlash on social media after several commentators accused the organizers of showcasing ‘satanic symbols’.
Videos from the ceremony, which was attended by VP JD Vance and his wife, Usha, are going viral on social media. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) is yet to comment on the accusations.
The opening ceremony was held in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo, with the main program held at San Siro stadium.
In a first for the Winter Games, two Olympic cauldrons were ignited, one at Milan’s Arco della Pace and the other in Cortina’s town square, following the final torch run by Italian Olympic champion Sofia Goggia.
Soon, videos from the ceremony surfaced on social media. Users slammed the organizers, saying that they could spot an upside-down pentagram just in the end.
“Of course, we get a satanic pentagram to end the opening ceremony for the Olympics from the demonic globalists trying to destroy the West. They're not even trying to hide it,” one person wrote on X, platform formerly known as Twitter.
“Look at this blatant worshipping of a flaming pentagram, at the Olympics’ opening ceremony. They play choral music as if it’s some holy event. Liberalism has always been rife with Luciferians who think Satan is a hero who brought knowledge to Adam and Eve,” another one tweeted.
“It really doesn’t get any more IN YOUR FACE than this… A clearly visible upside-down pentagram at the Opening Ceremony of the Olympics. Revelation of the method. As if you needed more PROOF that this world is run by satan and his minions," a third person wrote on X.
Paris Olympics controversy
In 2024, a fake video attributed to USA Today and claimed that the Church of Satan thanked Olympics organizers for a controversial tableau in the games’ opening ceremony.
The video referred to a kitsch tableau during the Olympics opening ceremony that depicted a pagan feast resembling Leonardo da Vinci’s painting “The Last Supper,” which angered Christian groups and garnered an apology from Olympics organizers.
