Lynrd Skynrd's Freebird came out like 73-74

Baby boom peek birth years were 55-56-57.

They were 16-19 when that song came out.

Formative years.

Smart marketing.

Recapture the boomers.

Valliant effort.

Probably too late to save the brand.

There are 650 million people who speak Spanish in the world.

Many in CA, AZ, NM, TX and FL

The NFL wants to expand internationally

particularly in Mexico and So America

Feedback from Spanish speaking people

is they loved it. (We have our sheep,

they have their sheep regardless of

content or talent).

From a marketing perspective I think the NFL will consider this a success.

Personally as a midwestern white man

with European mutt heritage, I didn't like it.

But I wasn't the target audience. I got the Bud commercial and the flyover.

The NFL is comfortable with their US base

to take the risk.. en Espanol, si?

With today's technology even if they are

singing it is being modified and enhanced. Nothing is real And nothing to get hung about. Strawberry Fields forever.

George Martin mixed two versions of John's vocals on this song with different time signatures because John was a prick and George had the wherewithal to do it. On tape no less. Crazy.

Ever since then live music has been modified and enhanced because they can… and it sounds better. It's a better product. They all do it. The quality might be slightly fake but the marketing and sales benefit immensely.
